Welcome to those who maybe seeking support for any emotional or mental health difficulties.
Firstly, let me reassure you that it is not unusual to experience difficulties, no matter how grounded we feel we may be.
My name is Anthony Davids (Tony) and I am a UKCP registered Core Process psychotherapist offering Core Process Psychotherapy also known as Buddhist Based Psychotherapy or Mindfulness Based Psychotherapy.
As a therapeutic approach, Core Process Psychotherapy (CPP) is an integrative form of therapy drawing on western psychotherapeutic approaches, principally psycho-dynamic and psycho-analytic, combined with buddhist psychology and its accompanying practices; such as experiencing what is happening in the present moment, with compassion, wisdom and awareness.
As such, it is a contemplative approach that enables exploration at depth, of any unconscious and conscious processes that may emerge, with the intention of trying to understand what is being experienced. It is through this understanding that transformation can occur.
The premise behind this therapeutic approach is that we connect with our innate or intrinsic health: We already have everything we need to flourish as human beings. However we may feel blocked or weighed down by past conditioning or trauma which restrict engaging with life in the moment.
CPP offers an opportunity to develop practical skills for self-listening which will be invaluable long after the therapy may have stopped. It offers an opportunity to work with the depth of our existence and explore our own processes which influence and condition both who we are and how we are in the present moment.
Each session is aimed at providing a safe confidential space in which we can explore and begin to understand the issues that present themselves.
As a CPP practitioner I believe in the inherent health of the individual and that any issues, once understood, provide the possibility for transformation.
As an experienced psychotherapist / counsellor, I have supported many clients who have suffered from mental and emotional distress, including areas such as;
- Anger and rage
- Anxiety or stress

- Lack of confidence
