Anthony Davids MA, MA, ACIB, ACPP, UKCP (Reg)
Thank you for looking at my profile.
If you feel that you need support for any emotional, mental health distress or relationship issues, you come to the right place.
I am a UKCP registered psychotherapist based in Bushey, Hertfordshire that offers an Integrative and Contemplative form of therapy called Core Process Psychotherapy (CPP). CPP is a balance of western psychotherapeutic approaches, principally psychodynamic and psychoanalytic, and Mindfulness Practice which is drawn from over 2500 years of Buddhist tradition.
CPP's purpose is to help look at, and work with, how we are now, in the present moment, and how we express past conditioning as feelings, actions and thoughts. In doing this, we can transform our relationship to any 'suffering' that we may be experiencing.
Counselling and Psychotherapy has helped many people deal with mental and emotional distress, which can be experienced in many ways such as:
- Anger and rage
- Anxiety or stress
- Difficulty in coming to terms with losses
- Difficulty in dealing with stress or recovering from stressful situations
- Eating disorders
- Extreme mood swings
- Feelings of depression, sadness, grief or emptiness
- Lack of confidence
- Obsessive behaviour
- Panic attacks and phobias
- Relationship issues
- Self harm
- Sexual problems
- Spiritual crisis
Please get in touch to arrange a session to discuss your needs, either by emailing me or phoning and leaving a message. My email address and contact number can be found at top of this profile.
For an initial session I charge £50.
In this session we will discuss your needs and the boundaries for any future therapeutic relationship.
I wish you well and look forward to hearing from you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I also hold a MA in Applied Theology from the Missionary Institute London (MIL) as well as professional qualifications in Banking and Finance.
I am a member of the ACPP (Association of Core Process Psychotherapists).
I am an accredited UKCP member; an organisation that sets standards for psychotherapy in the UK. I also abide by their Code of Ethics.
I aim to offer therapy in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment.
Before I undertook depth training in Mindfulness Psychotherapeutic Practice with the Karuna Institute, I trained as a Psychodynamic Counsellor with the Westminster Pastoral Association (WPA).
I believe in the inherent health of the individual and that any issues, once understood, can begin to be resolved and transformed.
Confidentiality and professional standards are of the utmost importance and form an essential part of the relationship.
