About me

I am an Existential Psychotherapist committed to helping my clients explore their issues through a therapeutic relationship based on trust, honesty and respect. The existential approach lends itself naturally to taking a holistic view of oneself, ones relationships and ones place in the world. I work with both individuals and couples and you can choose to see me in person at one of my Central London practices, or remotely via Zoom or telephone.

Through the therapy process, I can offer:

- empathetic, non-judgemental listening
- honest, open dialogue to explore your values, meanings, choices and assumptions
- a philosophical perspective to enhance self-awareness and understanding

This approach offers a powerful means by which you can re-evaluate your issues and create positive, sustainable change. Over the years I have helped many people transform what may have started as a crisis, into an opportunity for personal growth and increased well-being.

With an academic background in science, many years working as a City technology analyst and first hand experience of parenting and inter-cultural issues, I believe I bring a rich and diverse range of personal experience to my practice.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am an experienced, UKCP registered psychotherapist and trained in Existential psychotherapy at the School of Psychotherapy and Counselling at Regent's College. I have over 20 years experience of working with adults in one-to-one counselling across a variety of settings.

I have helped clients with a wide variety of issues, such as:

- anxiety and stress
- anger management
- depression
- panic attacks
- relationship issues
- divorce
- relationship breakdown
- separation
- work and career
- life choices and meaning
- death anxiety and life goals
- bereavement and loss
- domestic violence
- abuse
- sexuality and gender
- identity, race, culture and ethnicity
- body image and eating disorders

As required by UKCP governance, I am in regular personal supervision with a senior therapist who oversees and supports my clinical work. I am also in continuous personal and professional development.

I have a BSc (Hons) degree in Physics and am a qualified and EMCC accredited executive coach.
