Counsellor Profile

My name is Mags or Maggie! I have 10 years experience of working within the public sector. During this time I gained experience of working with child abuse and domestic violence. I am currently in my 3rd year (diploma year) of a four year Masters degree in Integrative Psychotherapy at the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute, Nottingham working towards U.K.C.P. registration. So far, I have achieved a Certificate in Psychotherapeutic Studies.
I have experience of working with both short (6 wks) and long (18 months +)term clients within an N.H.S. setting and also a G.P surgery. I am in monthly supervision with a U.K.C.P. registered supervisor.
I have a small private practice in West Bridgford and will soon be able to offer a practice in Gotham too.

I consider myself a warm, calm, approachable human being. I work using an Integrative approach which helps us develop and build a therapeutic relationship from which we will be able to explore the issues which you bring to therapy, at your pace.

Currently I work in West Bridgford which is 10mins from Nottingham City Centre and easily accessible by car, rail or bus. I will soon be working from Gotham too which is 10 mins from j24 of the M1 and convenient for surrounding villages on the Leicestershire and Derbyshire borders.
