What is happening with the world?

Earlier this year, we started to hear about this horrible virus that is killing so many people around the world. All of a sudden, our lives changed dramatically and we were not allowed to visit our family and friends.

This year, as a result, we have been forced to change and become more sterile and not just physically, but mentally. Many of us feel that we are unable to trust anymore because we cannot read people’s faces or completely understand each other. After all, the mask hides us.

But, are we hidden by the mask or has our identity been taken away from us? People cannot read anymore if you are sad or happy. All our basic communications skills are being taken away.

I have often questioned if this virus is a positive thing or a negative thing. I am sure this question would cause lots of debate. For some people, the virus is helping them to evaluate their lives and to slow down their way of living. But, for others, there have been many negative consequences. People have lost jobs, houses, businesses and, most tragically of all, their own loved ones to this virus.

It is an unfortunate time and also a very stressful time for so many people. Words cannot describe what is happening all around the world. We don't know what to do each day and we don't know how to plan things for the future. But we mustn't give up - we have to take it one day at a time.

How can we look after ourselves?

What are you doing to take care of yourself? How are you taking time to reflect? And, most of all, how can you move forward with this situation?

I tell all my clients, take care of yourself and be kind to yourself. We all are important people on this planet. The virus doesn't discriminate by title or authority - this virus is for everyone, no matter their money, their power, or their religion.

This is more powerful than anyone thought it could be.

Take your time to value yourself. To value what is happening, you have to accept what is happening. Learn about yourself, understand yourself and empower yourself with your own learning and what you might (or might not) need to change during these sad times.

The virus has may have both positive and negative outcomes but it is how we process this situation and how we deal with it in a caring way that is important. We can all blame everyone and everything but is this going to help the situation of provoking more anger and sadness in the world?

Think for yourself and how you want to move with your own path. Be mindful that we don't have to know everything as we cannot control everything - apart from looking after ourselves and our loved ones.

Take your time but, most of all, take care of yourself and your loved ones. You are worth to get to know yourself.
