About me
I'm Zoe, a counsellor who is passionate about supporting those who struggle with low self-esteem and anxiety, as feeling doubtful about your worth, questioning if you're good enough and battling with critical thoughts can be a daily battle. It can be difficult to challenge these critical beliefs and remind yourself of your worth and potential. I offer individuals a non-judgemental and empathetic space to explore your thoughts and feelings openly. I will meet you with warmth and listen with genuine care.
It can take great courage to push past negative self-talk, to seek counselling and prioritise your own well-being. Whether you would like to explore a specific issue or understand yourself better, I offer a welcoming space where you can explore the difficulties you're experiencing at your own pace. Everyone that I work with is seen as unique, each possessing their own inner resources and an inbuilt ability to thrive and grow.
Many factors can influence our perception of ourselves, including unhealthy relationships, life experiences, external influences and more. It may be helpful to know that I have experience of working with a range of issues including adult relational trauma, anxiety and low self-esteem.
I can offer weekly/fortnightly appointments at the therapy room based in Sheffield S35.

Training, qualifications & experience
My professional background encompasses addressing a broad spectrum of issues, including low self-esteem, anxiety, adult relational trauma, low self-worth and stress among others. I have experience working with individuals as well as facilitating group therapy, always adhering to a warm, non-judgmental, and supportive approach.
I completed my Professional Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy (NCS accredited) in 2016 and a Diploma in the Practice of Supervision (2021).

In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Further information
Aside from traditional talking therapy, my approach also includes offering creative materials like objects, sand trays, pens and paper, and creative cards to enhance the therapeutic experience. Whether we use creative techniques or not, I believe that the therapy should adapt to you, not the other way around.
