About me
Many of the people I work with come to therapy feeling caught between worlds. They carry anxiety, depression or trauma alongside the particular weight of a bicultural identity, or the pressure of managing careers, families and relationships across cultures.
I am an HCPC-registered , EuroPsy Registred and BPS Chartered Counselling Psychologist with over 14 years of experience across NHS and private practice, working with individuals, couples and families online. I offer therapy in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, across UK and international time zones.
What distinguishes my practice is the combination of Western, evidence-based psychology and genuine cultural fluency. I grew up in Hong Kong and trained in the UK, which means I understand both the clinical picture and the cultural context that so often sits beneath it.
I specialise in anxiety, depression, trauma, bicultural and cultural identity, relationship difficulties, and neurodivergent support for ADHD and autism. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive and neuro-affirming.
As an approved Clinical Supervisor since 2022 and Honorary Lecturer in Intercultural Mental Health at the University of Manchester, I also offer supervision to trainee and qualified psychologists seeking a culturally aware, reflective supervisory relationship.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am an HCPC-registered and BPS Chartered Counselling Psychologist with a Doctorate from the University of Manchester and over 14 years of experience across NHS and private practice. I currently work as a Senior Psychologist in an NHS complex mental health service.
My approach is integrative and person-centred. In our initial sessions, you will have space to share what has brought you to therapy and what you are hoping for. Together, we explore the patterns and pressures contributing to your difficulties rather than working only at the surface level. I then develop a personalised therapy plan designed to support lasting change and build your resilience, giving you skills that remain useful long after our work together ends.
I draw on Humanistic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy and Schema Therapy. I have specialist expertise supporting people with ADHD, autism and other neurodivergent profiles, and those working through multicultural identity and intergenerational trauma.
I am an approved Clinical Supervisor since 2022 and Honorary Lecturer in Intercultural Mental Health at the University of Manchester.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
