About me
There are times when life can feel difficult to navigate. Perhaps you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, struggling in a relationship, dealing with loss or change, or wondering why you no longer feel quite like yourself.
Sometimes there’s a clear reason for how you’re feeling. Sometimes there isn’t. Either way, you don’t have to work it all out on your own.
I’m Wendy, an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist offering a warm, welcoming and confidential space to talk openly, make sense of what’s happening and begin to find a way forward.
You don’t need to be in crisis to come to therapy. We can start with whatever feels most important to you.
Issues I can help with:
- Anxiety, overthinking and overwhelm
- Stress, burnout and low confidence
- Relationship difficulties, affairs and betrayal
- Bereavement, loss and loneliness
- Depression and low mood
- ADHD and neurodivergence
- Menopause and midlife change
- Family and childhood-related difficulties
- Identity, sexuality and LGBTQ+ concerns
- Trauma and difficult past experiences
This list isn’t exhaustive. Sometimes people come to therapy without being able to put a name to what they are experiencing, only knowing that something doesn’t feel quite right.
An inclusive and affirming practice:
I aim to create a therapeutic space where you can feel welcomed and respected for who you are, rather than feeling you have to edit or explain yourself.
I welcome people from different communities, identities, backgrounds and relationship structures, including those in consensually non-monogamous relationships.
Training, qualifications & experience
Training:
My therapeutic training is integrative and relational, grounded primarily in person-centred theory.
Alongside my person-centred foundation, my training draws on:
● Psychodynamic approaches
● Gestalt therapy
● Existential therapy
● Motivational interviewing
● Mindfulness-informed approaches
● Trauma-informed practice
Rather than applying one fixed model to everyone, I adapt how we work to you, while keeping the therapeutic relationship at the heart of the process.
Qualifications:
MSc Psychology of Coaching (commencing Oct 26)
University of Leicester
Postgraduate study
BA (Hons) Counselling and the Psychotherapeutic Relationship
University of Warwick
First Class Honours
Professional registration:
Registered Member – British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP)
Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) Registered
ICO registration number: ZC209670
I undertake regular clinical supervision and continuing professional development, am fully insured to practise and work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework.
Experience:
My clinical work has included supporting adults at the Sandycroft Centre in Redditch, a community-based service working with people facing a range of emotional, psychological and social difficulties.
I worked with clients affected by anxiety, bereavement, trauma, domestic abuse, sexual abuse, social isolation and complex mental health needs.
This helped deepen my understanding of how relationships, loss, trauma and wider life circumstances can affect emotional wellbeing, and reinforced the importance of offering a safe, respectful space where people can work at their own pace.
Alongside my therapeutic work, I bring more than 30 years’ professional experience of supporting people through change, pressure and personal development.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Beginning therapy can feel like a significant step, particularly if you have not had counselling before.
Our first full session gives us time to explore what has brought you to therapy, what is happening in your life now and what you would like from our work together. There is no expectation that you tell your whole story straight away, and you will never be pushed to discuss something before you feel ready.
Sessions are 60 minutes and are usually held weekly, although we can discuss what works best for you. I also offer 30-minute focused therapy sessions for existing clients who would benefit from a shorter check-in or support with something specific.
Appointments are available in person in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, and online across the UK, with availability on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturday mornings.
Before booking your first full session, you are welcome to arrange a free 15-minute discovery call. This is an informal opportunity to tell me a little about what you are looking for, ask any questions and get a sense of whether working together feels right. There is no obligation to continue.
