MBACP (Accred) Dip. Integrative Psychodynamic Therapy

About me

Hello, my name is Wendy and I am an Accredited Integrative Psychotherapist and member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).

I offer Solutions Focused Therapy sessions aimed at creating positive results for my clients.

Working collaboratively, we will establish your objectives from our therapeutic work based on your issues and concerns.

Initially sessions are conducted on a weekly basis, moving towards fortnightly sessions when you are ready. Towards the end of our work we will review whether your objectives have been met, address any areas of concern and consider additional points that may have arisen during our work. The duration of therapy will be dependent on your individual needs.

Following conclusion of our work, I offer an open-door policy to all clients enabling you to come back for one off sessions, should the need arise.

As a Psychodynamic practitioner following a humanistic approach, my commitment to you is:

To create a warm, non-judgemental, safe and empathic therapeutic space for you to explore your needs and issues.

My work encompasses a variety of therapeutic models, including:

Psychotherapy, CBT, mindfulness, Gestalt and Existentialism. I may facilitate gentle challenge in order for you to acknowledge and reframe any behavioural patterns which may be hindering you on either an individual or relational level.

I am also an Accredited Narcissistic Abuse Specialist and offer one to one support to clients who are navigating their way through relationships with narcissists, or looking to heal and make sense of their experiences following the demise of a relationship involving narcissistic abuse.

Finding the right therapist is essential to your progress, so please call me for an initial free 20-minute chat, during which we can discuss your needs and hopes.

I look forward to hearing from you.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
