About me
I’m Thomas Atkin, a registered Level 5 Counsellor with the NCPS. Based in Boston, I work with clients nationwide, offering support for those navigating complex challenges in relationships, identity, and the unconscious narratives that shape daily life.
With four years of experience working with relationships, attachment styles, and anxiety, I pride myself on offering a directive yet holistic approach. My specialisms include:
- Family issues
- Relationships and sex
- Anxiety
- LGBTQ+ and sexuality
- ADHD and neurodiversity
- Low self-esteem
My training is rooted in the Person-Centred Approach, providing a strong foundation for empathetic and client-led work. I am also qualified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which I can integrate if preferred, often taking a more directive stance to help clients move forward with clarity and confidence.
I believe talking therapy is built on trust and confidentiality. I offer a safe, non-judgemental space where you can explore feelings and thoughts while gaining a deeper understanding of yourself.
Reaching out for support can feel daunting, and I appreciate you taking the time to read through my profile. If you have any further questions or would like to discuss how we might work together, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
