About me
Thank you for looking at my page, I appreciate you have a lot of choice and finding the right counsellor is key to your success and growth. Why me? Well, I have had a varied life experience that’s lead me to choose this path to become a counselling therapist and since I qualified I’ve amassed over thousand hours of one to one sessions, I’m happy to work with adults of all ages as well as teenagers over 16 and couples. My work covers a wide range of areas from trauma, PTSD, addictions to grief and loss and many more in between.
I’ve been trained in an integrated approach and my core is humanistic but I’m happy to use CBT and psychodynamic therapy along with others. I adapt my style to the client and their needs.
I’m happy to provide a free over the phone consultation so you can get a chance to get to know me a little and you can decide if I am the right person for you.
My work, I offer face to face sessions in Sebastopol Pontypool, please note that this location does have a set of stairs.
Monday, Friday and Saturday are my private practice workdays and I’m offering fortnightly sessions to help combat the cost of living crisis.
I also offer telephone and WhatsApp video sessions.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am qualified at level 4 counselling Diploma and a member of the BACP
I currently work part time in secondary schools and colleges in Torfaen providing counselling to 11 to 21 year olds. Dealing with a wide range of issues & this also includes group work with families.
I have regular access to training opportunities within my employed work place.
I offer counselling services to the Charity Tidybutt and I previously volunteered for Newport Mind and Sesame counselling services.
most of my work is now privately at my office in Sebastopol.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
