About me
I offer online counselling for individuals and couples who may be experiencing difficulties in their relationships, struggling with anxiety, low mood, loss or change, or simply feeling stuck and unsure how to move forward.
My approach is warm, collaborative and relational. I aim to provide a calm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about what is happening and begin to make sense of your thoughts, feelings and relationships.
I work integratively, drawing on different therapeutic approaches depending on what feels most useful for you. This may involve exploring what is happening in the present, noticing patterns that keep repeating and considering how past experiences may be influencing the way you feel, relate and respond.
With couples, I work with both partners to understand what is happening between you rather than taking sides. We may explore repeated arguments, communication difficulties, emotional distance, trust, intimacy, affairs or uncertainty about the future of the relationship.
I offer a free 20-minute introductory call so that we can briefly discuss what has brought you to counselling, answer any questions you may have and consider whether working together feels like a good fit.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).
I qualified as an individual counsellor with a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and have since undertaken specialist training in couples and relationship therapy through a two-year Level 5 Diploma in Relationship Counselling with Relate.
My training has included Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and Systemic approaches, alongside other therapeutic ideas and techniques which I integrate according to the needs of each client or couple.
I have experience working therapeutically with both individuals and couples, supporting clients with relationship difficulties, anxiety, low mood, loss, life changes, communication difficulties, intimacy, trust, affairs and recurring patterns within relationships
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I currently offer counselling online, which can provide greater flexibility around appointment times.
I offer a free 20-minute introductory call before arranging a first session. This gives us an opportunity to talk briefly about what has brought you to counselling, answer any questions you may have and consider whether working together feels like a good fit.
Sessions are usually held weekly and last 50 minutes for both individuals and couples. I offer both short-term and longer-term counselling, depending on your needs and what you would like to work on.
Cancellation policy: I understand that plans can sometimes change. Sessions can be cancelled or rearranged without charge with at least 48 hours’ notice.
If you are unsure whether counselling is right for you, or whether I might be the right counsellor for you, you are very welcome to get in touch and ask any questions before arranging a call.
