About me
I offer counselling, psychotherapy and clinical supervision online and in Kingston, south west London – easily accessible from south and central London (Train from Waterloo to Norbiton or Kingston, multiple buses).
Having trained as an integrative counsellor at the Minster Centre in London, I work relationally, holding in mind a range of psychological theories, whilst tailoring the work to each client’s needs, and endeavouring to understand each client’s perspective of their life and experiences.
I strive to provide a safe, confidential environment in which you can openly explore whatever may be on your mind, in your own time.
Whether you would like to explore elements of your life or relationships more deeply – exploring your past, as well as your current life and your hopes for the future, or you feel generally happy with your life but have a specific concern (such as the illness or death of a loved one, or an anxiety about an upcoming event), I would be happy to work with you to improve what we can, or accept those things that cannot be improved.
I tend to work as holistically as possible – taking into consideration my clients’ mind, body, culture, race, spiritual beliefs, age, physical ability, and whatever else may seem relevant.
I specialise in anger management, emotional regulation, anxiety and childhood trauma but also see clients for a wide range of other problems.
Daytime and evening sessions are offered, usually lasting for fifty minutes.
If you would like to ask any questions or to arrange an initial meeting, please contact me by phone or email.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified Integrative counsellor, psychotherapist and clinical supervisor, registered with the BACP and UKCP.
I have over fifteen years of clinical experience working with adults and attend ongoing professional development and regular clinical supervision to support my work.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
