About me

Welcome to S.Jagusch Integrative Psychotherapy

Welcome

You don't have to work through this alone.

I'm a psychotherapist working from a private room in my home in Henley in Arden and online. I understand the impact stressful life events can have on our ability to cope and manage the demands of everyday life.  It can sometimes be difficult to prioritise and give importance to our own needs, however, if you feel like you are going through a difficult time, maybe struggling with low mood, anxiety, feeling stuck or disconnected from yourself or others, you may want to consider psychotherapy to help you make sense of what is troubling you and improve your emotional wellbeing.

My name is Sabine Jagusch, and I am an experienced integrative psychotherapist and clinical supervisor with over 10 years of experience working in private practice and the NHS. I am UKCP registered and committed to providing psychotherapy in a safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment.

I offer long and short term in-person therapy to adult individuals in the Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Solihull area and online if this is your preference. The number of sessions will depend on you, the complexity of the issues you want to resolve and the depth of the work we undertake together.

I also offer clinical supervision across a range of theoretical modalities and professional settings, and I am experienced in providing therapy to students and those undertaking training in counselling and psychotherapy.

I appreciate that making the initial contact with a therapist can be a daunting experience, so please read through the following and if you feel that I might be able to help, do get in touch with no obligation.

I look forward to hearing from you.

How psychotherapy can help

The aim of psychotherapy is to help you to develop your awareness of why you feel the way you do about yourself and others, and how you respond to life and those around you. As a psychotherapist, I aim to support you to develop better coping strategies when faced with difficult feelings, thoughts or behaviours that cause you inner conflict or conflict in relationships with others. The overarching aspiration is to enable you to enhance your life and live it more fully by improving your mental and emotional well-being.

My approach

As an Integrative psychotherapist I believe that who we are and how we are in the world is shaped by our ongoing experiences. Likewise, what we believe about ourselves, and others will be heavily influenced by beliefs we developed at a very early age. Our learning and subsequent beliefs will be shaped by the significant people around us, along with life – the everyday occurrences as well as the major events. The beliefs that we developed as a child can restrict us adults and prevent us from living a fulfilling life. They have an impact on our relationships as well as our self-esteem. My approach is foremost relational and developmental and designed to help with working through childhood issues in order to be fully available for current relationships.

As an Integrative psychotherapist I work with a unique integrated model that is a synthesis of Humanistic Psychology, Object Relations Theory and Psychoanalytic Self-Psychology. Therapeutic approaches that inform my practice include Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Gestalt Psychotherapy, Transactional Analysis, Relational therapy and Person-Centred therapy. The influence of these different approaches enables me to work with clients with a wide variety of difficulties, including trauma.
