Supervision details
Clinical supervision for qualified therapists and those in training.
I understand supervision as the provision of a reflective space within a professional relationship to facilitate the development of the supervisee as a therapist whatever their level of experience, to enhance the therapy outcomes with their clients. My stance as a supervisor mirrors my developmental and relational stance as a therapist and my supervision work is underpinned by the same theoretical thinking as my therapy work.
I offer a supervisor - supervisee relationship which is accepting, non-judgmental, empathic, open and tailored to the purpose of the work required. I will provide a safe environment where supervisees can feel enabled to contact their own underlying feelings and focus on the exploration of their experience of their client work. I will safely hold ethical and professional boundaries and will encourage reflexiveness of emotional and interpersonal processes and provide continued learning where appropriate.
I hold 2 supervisor qualifications.
- Diploma in Clinical Supervision (Sherwood Psychotherapy Institute) which allows me to offer supervision across a range of theoretical modalities and professional settings.
- Person Centred Experiential (PCE-CfD) supervisor training certificate which supports foremost my NHS work.
Please contact me if you would like to discuss clinical supervision either as an individual or a small group.
Cost £80 an hour.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
