BABCP accred Therapist / Supervisor, EMDR Consultant, RMN

About me

People often come to therapy because anxiety, difficult experiences or unhelpful patterns have begun to restrict their lives. You may feel stuck in cycles of worry, overthinking or avoidance, or find that something from the past continues to affect how you feel in the present.

I am an experienced CBT and EMDR therapist based in Norwich, offering face-to-face appointments as well as online therapy across the UK. I work with a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, OCD, trauma and PTSD, depression, panic, phobias, social anxiety, low self-esteem and problems related to stress.

My approach is collaborative, practical and tailored to you. We will develop a clear understanding of what is happening, why the problem may have developed and what is keeping it going. From there, we can identify the changes that will help you move towards the life you want to be living.

Depending on your needs, I may use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), or elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Metacognitive Therapy. I will always explain the approach clearly, so therapy feels like something we are doing together rather than something being done to you.

I am a BABCP-accredited CBT therapist and an EMDR Europe-accredited Consultant and Supervisor, with more than 20 years’ experience working in mental health across NHS and private practice settings.

I have more than 20 years’ experience working in mental health across NHS and private practice settings. My professional background is in mental health nursing, and I now provide specialist CBT and EMDR therapy from my Norwich practice and online across the UK.

Alongside my therapy practice, I provide CBT clinical supervision and EMDR supervision and consultation. I work with both experienced therapists and practitioners developing their skills or working towards accreditation.

I am registered with several major private health insurance companies. Please contact me if you would like to check whether I can accept referrals through your insurer.

Further information

am a BABCP-accredited CBT therapist and an EMDR Europe-accredited Consultant. These accreditations reflect recognised specialist training, supervised clinical practice and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

My way of working is collaborative and transparent. We will begin by developing a shared understanding of the difficulties you are experiencing, including what may have contributed to them and what is keeping them going. We can then agree clear and realistic goals for therapy.

CBT can help you recognise and change patterns of thinking and behaviour that have become unhelpful. EMDR can help the mind process distressing experiences that continue to feel emotionally present. Where appropriate, I may also integrate ideas from ACT and Metacognitive Therapy. I will explain the available options and tailor the approach to your individual needs rather than applying the same formula to everyone.

Appointments are available in person in Norwich and online across the UK.
