About me

Hello! My name is Richanda Crowley and I am a
Registered BACP Counsellor.

As an integrative counsellor, I offer a flexible and client-centred approach, drawing on a range of therapeutic modalities to suit your unique needs. This means I tailor my methods to best support you, whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, or other life difficulties. My goal is to create a safe, empathetic space where you can explore and understand your feelings at your own pace.

I have experience working with a wide range of diversities, including ASC and ADHD and I provide both online and face-to-face sessions in Canterbury City Centre. I work with adults and young people, helping them manage life’s stresses and transitions, enhance their mental well-being, and cultivate healthier relationships with themselves and others.

My approach is integrative, meaning I use a variety of tools and techniques from different therapeutic models to provide the most effective support. This includes Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Gestalt Therapy and Transactional Analysis. I believe in the power of collaboration between therapist and client and see the therapeutic relationship as key to the healing process.

I offer flexible hours for both in-person and online sessions. Please get in touch to discuss your availability and we can arrange a time that works best for you.

In-person sessions available in Canterbury City Centre with parking near by, online sessions also available

I understand that seeking counselling can feel daunting, but I am here to support you every step of the way. I work from a non-judgmental, empathetic perspective, ensuring that your experiences are respected and valued. My aim is to empower you to make positive changes in your life and to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself.

If you’re ready to take the first step toward feeling better, please feel free to reach out. I look forward to working with you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
