About me

I am a Clinical Psychologist (HCPC registered) with over a decade of experience working across NHS and private settings supporting individuals, couples and families with a range of difficulties using a compassionate, individual focused approach.

I can help you better understand and cope with a range of difficulties, including anxiety, worry, low mood, feeling stressed or overwhelmed, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and overcoming difficult or traumatic experiences.

I have a special interest and experience in supporting parents and those within the perinatal period (pregnancy, birth through to parenthood). This includes emotional difficulties in pregnancy and the postnatal period, anxiety around birth, overcoming birth and perinatal trauma, and adjusting to parenthood.

How can I help?

I can offer short and longer term therapy in person and online.

I aim to work flexibly alongside you to adapt our therapy to your needs, preferences and current circumstances. I predominantly use a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approach, but I will draw on my experience of a range of different evidence based therapies depending on what best fits your difficulties and what complements you as a person. This includes Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Narrative Therapy.

I understand that therapy can often be a daunting prospect. I aim to create a non-judgmental, compassionate and collaborative therapy space to help you feel comfortable enough to get the most out of our time together. Through therapy I hope to empower you to move towards your personal goals and ultimately be able to live a more fulfilling life in line with your strengths and values.

What next?

The first step is to send me a message letting me know what you would like help with and any questions you may have. From here, I can send you more information or we can arrange a free 15 minute telephone consultation to briefly discuss what you are looking for.

Following this, if you are happy to, we will set up our first appointment together, in person or over Zoom. During this appointment we will talk in some more detail, at your pace, about what brings you to therapy and what you would like help with. If you are happy to continue we will set up some therapy sessions together. Sessions will generally occur at the same time every week or fortnight.

Training, qualifications & experience

I completed my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) at University College London (UCL).

I have gained further specialist training in CBT (PgCert CBT for Psychosis, Kings College London), alongside completing various further training courses (e.g. Introduction to Compassion Focused Therapy & Compassionate Mind approach to postnatal depression - Compassionate Mind Foundation)

I have built up my clinical experience across a variety of NHS services and private settings over the past 12 years. I most recently worked as a senior psychologist within a community perinatal mental health team until 2023.

I established my practice in 2020 to help reach those who for varying reasons have been unable to receive the time, space and psychological expertise they deserve.
