About me
A warm welcome.
I am a qualified integrative-relational counsellor, offering you a confidential space where your thoughts, feelings and experiences will be met with care and respect.
People seek counselling for many different reasons and taking that first step to reach out takes a lot courage.
Areas I can support you with:
Relational patterns- noticing and exploring recurring patterns in how you relate and connect with yourself and others, particularly where they may be having a negative impact.
Processing past experiences- exploring and making sense of events that continue to shape how you feel and relate today.
Making sense of your feelings- exploring, understanding and holding space for feelings such as sadness, guilt, anxiety, anger, rage, loneliness, depression, feeling stuck or just not feeling yourself.
Life transitions- supporting you through times of change and uncertainty.
Self-understanding- creating space to reflect where you can develop a deeper understanding of yourself.
Identity-supporting you to connect more deeply with who you are, with compassion and acceptance. I provide an LGBTQIA+ and neurodiversity-affirming space, as well as a place to explore cultural and racial identity.
Grief and loss- offering support through the many shapes loss can take from bereavement, separation, to the loss of identity, purpose or a sense of who you are.
Parts work- exploring and building a relationship towards the different parts of yourself.
Understanding perfectionism- which may show up as self-criticism, fear of getting it wrong or holding high expectations of yourself.
Low self-esteem and low confidence
Boundaries- developing healthy boundaries in your relationships, work and everyday life.
How I work
My aim as a counsellor is to create a safe and supportive space where you can freely explore what has been troubling you.
A space, that is yours, where you can gain a deeper self-awareness and feel empowered to develop new ways of being with yourself, others and the world around you.
Where moments of laughter, sadness, anger and joy can all be part of the process.
I work collaboratively, ensuring you have autonomy to decide what to explore, at a pace and depth that feels comfortable for you. Everyone’s journey is different and together we can look at what’s the most important to you.
I work with an attachment-based framework, valuing both early relationships and experiences as well as present ones.
Where it feels helpful and supportive, we can explore and make sense of how these may have shaped your ways of connecting, feeling and responding and begin to open up new ways that feel more grounded and supportive.
I offer creative approaches as an option, incorporating them into our work, where it may be helpful. These might include using figurines/miniatures, a sand tray, nesting dolls, drawing or postcards.
Using creative mediums can support deeper understanding and offer new perspectives on problems. They can also make it easier to express complex feelings in a symbolic way that may otherwise be difficult to reach or put into words.
I also offer walk and talk therapy alongside traditional in-room sessions. In this approach, nature can become a co-counsellor offering space, grounding and supporting moments of reflection. Some people find that walking side by side or sitting on a bench amongst nature makes it easier to talk about what they're going through.
I see personal growth and healing not to be a linear process but consisting of ups and downs. The journey may not be an easy one, but I’ll be there alongside you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a BA (Hons) degree in Integrative-Relational Counselling. This means my training integrates different approaches. It allows me to adapt how I work to best suit each person’s individual circumstances.
At the heart of my practice is the relational model, which emphasises the importance of the client-counsellor relationship as a foundation for meaningful growth and change to happen.
I have experience working with: anxiety, depression, attachment related issues, loss, abuse, co-dependency, bullying, bereavement, sexual and gender identity, low self-esteem, anger, rage, perfectionism, childhood abuse, loneliness, relational trauma, existential anxieties, cultural and racial identity, neurodiversity, stress and both personal and professional relationship issues.
Alongside my private practice, I’ve worked as a counsellor within the NHS and with a community-based organisation, supporting people of different ages, identities and backgrounds.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Introductory phone call
I offer a free 10-minute phone call as an opportunity for you to ask questions to help you to decide if what I offer matches what you need right now.
Initial session
The initial session is the same length as a regular session and offers a chance for us to get to know each other and talk about what has brought you to counselling. We'd explore what working together might look like and involve and to give you a sense of whether I feel like the right counsellor for you at this time.
