About me
Hello, I’m Rebecca, an integrative counsellor who believes that, even in the most difficult moments, we all have the capacity to heal, grow, and rediscover a sense of balance. My aim is to offer a warm, understanding space where you can talk openly and explore whatever is troubling you, at your own pace and without judgement.
While I have a particular interest in supporting people through grief and bereavement, I also work with clients facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, the effects of domestic violence, and issues around addiction. These experiences can leave us feeling lost, isolated, or overwhelmed, but I believe that change and recovery are always possible, and that no one should have to face these struggles alone.
My counselling philosophy is rooted in the belief that each of us holds an inner capacity for healing and resilience, even if it feels buried beneath pain or uncertainty. As an integrative counsellor, I draw from a variety of approaches, including person-centred, psychodynamic, somatic, and creative methods, so that our sessions can be shaped around what feels most supportive for you. For some, this means exploring thoughts and feelings through conversation; for others, it can involve creative or body-based ways of working, especially when words feel hard to find.
I see therapy as a collaborative process, where you and I work together to understand what you need and help you move toward greater clarity, strength, and self-compassion. My role is to walk alongside you, offering support and tools to help you make sense of your experiences and move forward in a way that feels right for you.
If you’re feeling ready to take the first step, or even if you’re just curious about how counselling might help, I’d be glad to hear from you. Please feel free to get in touch to arrange a conversation about how we might work together

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
