About me
Welcome, I’m Ray,
I’m a humanistic and integrative psychotherapist working from a relational and developmental perspective. I believe our relationships and previous experiences impact our self-beliefs, relationships with others, and how we see the world around us.
I work to offer a warm, respectful, and honest space where you can feel truly met as you are. From personal experience, I understand how important it is to find someone you can talk to without fear of judgment or analysis. I look to create a safe and supportive environment that allows exploration, healing, and growth.
I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to meet your individual needs, as each person’s path is unique. Therapy is an involved and unique process, which I handle with deep care and protection. It is important that we meet what is happening for you at the time, whether that is getting creative, moving about, or simply sitting together. Therapy is a space where all parts of you are welcome.
As a trauma-informed and inclusive practitioner, I welcome neurodivergent clients, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and those navigating complex family, cultural, or societal experiences. You don’t need to have the “right words” or even know exactly why you’re seeking therapy; together, we can begin to explore whatever is coming up at a pace that feels manageable for you.
You will be met with curiosity and care, not judgment or correction.
I work with adults (18+), offering support with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, educational and work-related stresses, relationship challenges, trauma (big T’s and small T’s), disordered eating, addiction, shame, identity, family dynamics, overwhelm, loss, self-harm, and recovery from past experiences.
I offer a free, no‑obligation 20‑minute phone or video call, where we can talk through what’s brought you here and explore whether we are the right fit for what you need and what you feel comfortable with.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
