About me
I provide in-person support in Bingley and Silsden (outdoor therapy), Keighley (office-based) and nationwide by Zoom.
I am experienced in working with clients transitioning into a new phase of life - perhaps a new job, the start or end of a relationship, menopause, peri-menopause, adapting to life with or without children, becoming a carer, living with a medical issue, experiencing burnout including for those with ADHD or Autism, exploring diagnosis for neurodiversity, or retiring.
I work with common impacts including feeling overwhelmed and lost, struggling to feel present, irritability, the sense of being on a treadmill, loss of identity, perfectionism, panic, low mood, hopelessness, wanting to make a change but feeling trapped or directionless, fear of not being accepted, people-pleasing, and so much more.
I prioritise feelings of security, honesty and acceptance in my therapy relationships. I work to create this by being genuine, understanding and nonjudgemental, holding boundaries for you and working with you to focus on your goals.
Please see https://www.rachellackeytherapy.com for more information or schedule a free consultation, where I'll guide you through some questions and you can ask me anything you want to know.
I offer creative methods (using movement, writing, art, objects and music) as well as purely talk-based counselling/psychotherapy. We'll develop a way of working that creates the greatest security and impact for you.

Further information
I trained to postgraduate level first in Person Centred Therapy and then in Relational Psychotherapy. The emphasis is on relationships past and present with family, friends, colleagues, and how these impact the way we treat and think about ourselves and also the dynamic that appears between therapist and client. I offer a non-judgemental, empathic and real-person approach to therapy, bringing in the offer of creative methods, movement, supportive touch and challenge for clients who would like to work in those ways.
Please visit www.rachellackeytherapy.com for more information and get in touch either there or via Counselling Directory for a free 15 minute consultation to discuss your goals for therapy and how we might work together.
