About me

I am now able to resume face-to-face, outdoor work with local clients, and continue to work with clients across the UK through secure video sessions (Zoom) and phone.

I work with adults, one-to-one, to improve relationship and family issues, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, panic, anger, trauma, unwanted thoughts, loss and issues of identity. I work nationwide via video/phone and am local to Bingley, Keighley, Saltaire and Silsden for outdoor work.

Please see https://www.rachellackeytherapy.com for more on my outdoor therapy. I offer creative methods (using writing, art, objects and music) as well as talk-based counselling/psychotherapy. It's led by what creates the greatest security and impact for you.

I specialize in difficulties in current and past relationships (romantic, family, friends or work). I'm experienced in working with past abuse and neglect as well as unhelpful patterns and unsatisfying relationships. I work with self-esteem, self-criticism, expectations, shame, and developing self-love and acceptance.

I prioritise feelings of security, honesty and acceptance in my therapy relationships. I work to create this by being genuine, understanding and nonjudgemental, holding boundaries for you and working with you to focus on your goals.

I can support you with issues including anxiety, depression, panic, relationship issues (past and present) anger, unwanted thoughts and loss.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
