About me

Many people experience anxiety and depression or feel stuck when life doesn’t go as planned. If you're finding it difficult to manage emotions or struggling with low self-esteem and self-doubt, counselling can be a helpful step. It provides a space to explore what's holding you back, whether it's stress, trauma, or relationship issues.

As a professional counsellor, I specialise in helping you gain insights into your emotions and behaviour. I work with approaches like cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy and attachment-based therapy to support your personal growth. Together, we will focus on recognising patterns and developing strategies to help you manage anxiety, depression and other challenges, such as family issues or low self-confidence.

Your emotional well-being is my priority, especially if you feel overwhelmed or face difficulties in relationships with a partner, family, or friends. I offer flexible counselling sessions in-person or remotely during the day and evening, giving you a safe and supportive space to talk when needed.

Training, qualifications & experience

In addition to my private practice, I provide counselling to adults in recovery from substance misuse. I have also facilitated cancer support groups in the past, helping individuals manage depression and emotional challenges after cancer treatment and surgery, particularly in adjusting to life changes.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
