About me

I am a therapist specialised in working with adults, couples and families with relationship problems, communication issues, depression and anger management.

You may be considering counselling for many reasons – perhaps you and your partner or family members have been arguing a lot lately or experiencing issues around trust. You could have recently started a family or maybe past events have brought you to a place where you feel you're at the point of no return. Sometimes, it can be that you are struggling to communicate or understand your loved ones anymore.

An area I specialise in is unhealthy relationships. It could be toxic relationships with a partner or family member - like a parent or sibling, unhealthy boundaries, emotional abuse or perhaps you believe that there may be signs of narcissistic traits within the relationship. The core work that I do is around your relationship with yourself and how that impacts your interactions with others, setting boundaries and being able to understand what you need and how to ask for it.

As your counsellor, I am here to support you to get what you want from these sessions, and to help you to make changes to your life and relationships with those around you.

If you have noticed a switch in behaviour, you're not getting on, not feeling love, connection or intimacy from your partner, please get in touch.

As an accredited couple counsellor for depression. I am trained to work with couples with depression related problems. Issues with mental health, be it you or your partner, can be a factor impacting heavily on your relationship. My experience is in being able to help you to support one another throughout this.

I've been a counsellor for 10 years, during which time I have worked for Relate and CAMHS helping families and individuals to strengthen their family bond as a unit, improving communication and looking at issues such as anxiety and unhealthy behaviour patterns, and helping partners and family to understand each others needs.

I understand how communication in relationships is important to how we view ourselves and our partners. I specifically work with conflict resolution and the connections that our behaviours may be linked to the past.

I believe that every journey is different. My approach is tailored to your needs. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques including systemic, psychodynamic, CBT, solution focused, narrative and mindfulness to support and work through distressing situations. I also have dyslexia so am able to support others who are themselves dyslexic.

Couples who may find getting to a location at the same time or finding childcare difficult, may find working online either during the day or evening more suitable, therefore I can offer sessions remotely.

If you would like to know more about how I work or if you have any questions before booking a session, please pop me a brief message on email, and I will be happy to arrange a call back at a time that suits you.

Alternatively, you can call me on 07850 993 020 or book a free 30 minute call back from me, here.

I look forward to hearing from you.
