Hi, I'm Rachel and I have been practicing as a counsellor since 2014.
I trained as an Integrative therapist through the institute of family therapy, Relate and IAPT. I chose to specialise in relationship, couple and family counselling and I work in a relational way, currently online and by telephone.
I enjoy working with individuals, couples and families and have a specific interest in developing the communication and conflict resolution skills within relationships. I have an interest in focusing on healing past trauma and helping people to understand the impact on their present-day behaviour and how this limits their participation and enjoyment of healthy relationships.
If you would like to know more about how I work or if you have any questions before booking a session, please pop me a brief message on email, and I will be happy to arrange a call back at a time that suits you.
I look forward to hearing from you.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Sessions will run for 50 minutes and will be delivered over zoom or telephone.
Your first session will be an assessment for us both to explore what you would like from counselling, and also an opportunity to see if you are happy to proceed with working with me as your therapist. If for any reason you are unable to attend your session with 24 hours of the agreed time, I'm afraid the full session fee will be applied, so please bear this in mind when booking.
When I work
My working hours are Wednesday and Thursday, however I am happy to fit in around my clients where possible, so please do get in touch.
