About me
It’s not always the things that have happened in your life but also those things that haven’t. This might show up as not feeling good about yourself or about the connections in your life. There could also be things you want to reflect on and understand better.
How I Work
As a person-centred counsellor, I won’t push you to talk about things you’re not ready for, and there’s no set agenda in our sessions. This means that you have the freedom to bring whatever is sitting heaviest on your heart and mind. Each session is uniquely tailored to each client, meaning we're always focusing on you and your needs.
I have supported a diverse range of clients, each with their own unique stories and challenges, ranging from:
- Grief and loss
- Family and relationship issues
- Anxiety and depression
- Work-related stress
- Domestic and sexual abuse
- Addiction and eating disorders
- Low self-esteem and confidence
- Self-harm and suicidal thoughts
Finding the Right Therapist
I know finding the right therapist can be a daunting task. I recommend reaching out to a range of therapists and arranging free consultations with them. This will help you to figure out who you can see yourself opening up to. I hope I am one of those you chose to reach out to and if so, I look forward to meeting. Good luck with your journey!
Therapy can be truly life-changing - I’ve seen it make a real difference for so many people.
Training, qualifications & experience
With over 3 years of experience and 450+ supervised client hours, I have extensive experience supporting clients from all walks of life. I am humanistically trained and take a person-centered approach to sessions. This means empathy, honesty and real care are the foundations of our conversation. I have also undertaken additional training in working with trauma, shame, and eating disorders, meaning I am particularly attuned to these struggles.
One of the main professional bodies for counsellors in the UK is the BACP. I am a registered member, meaning my training has met their standards, and I work in line with their ethical framework, ensuring you receive the care and support you deserve.
As a therapist within the charity sector, I have supported clients presenting with diverse and sometimes challenging issues - including addiction, through my time at Change Grow Live (CGL). I also work across Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP's), and have specific experience with work-related hardships.
I work with clients across the UK and I am available for sessions on weekdays and evenings; offering sessions via GoogleMeets or Whatsapp.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
If you'd like to see if we’d be a good fit, we can arrange a free initial consultation. This will give you the chance to figure out if you can see yourself opening up in our sessions moving forward. These consultations can also be a relaxed opportunity for you to ask any questions and share what you’re hoping for. We can talk about how we might work together and how I can best support you moving forward.
