About me

Hello and welcome!

I work in Glasgow and online specialising in Couples Therapy, Individual Relationship Therapy, and Psychosexual Therapy for couples and individuals. I am a qualified and registered Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist with a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Psychotherapy (awarded with Distinction).

Couples Therapy

Do you feel you would like your relationship to be in a better place? Perhaps you're going through a life transition such as becoming parents, or you're raising a family and you'd love to find that spark between you as a couple again. Have you noticed a distance between you, and that you miss the closeness and intimacy you once shared? Maybe your relationship has reached a crisis point such as an affair and you're looking to help your relationship heal. Perhaps communication has become an issue, leaving you feeling that your true needs aren't being met and you would like to understand each other better.

As an experienced, qualified, and registered Relationship Therapist, I can offer a safe and inclusive space for you to explore and process issues that are going on for you in your relationship. I work with both couples and individuals for long-term or short-term Couples Therapy and Individual Therapy. Together we can explore your relationship dynamics and I can help you to find positive change.

I am down to earth and work empathically and compassionately. Whether you attend as a couple or as an individual, I can help provide a space for insight and transformation. I enjoy working with all sexual orientations and gender identities and work inclusively and affirmatively.

Psychosexual Therapy

If you would like to work on a sexual difficulty, I also offer Psychosexual Therapy for couples and individuals.

This is strictly a specialised form of clinical talking therapy which never involves touch from a therapist.

It can help with issues such as:

  • Pain during sex
  • Differences in desire
  • Low desire
  • Vaginismus
  • Vulvodynia
  • Difficulties with arousal or orgasm
  • Effects of the menopause
  • Erectile issues
  • Premature or delayed ejaculation
  • The impact of sexual abuse

Compulsive Sexual Behaviour Therapy

Do you feel like your sexual behaviours are out of your control? Or that your partners sexual behaviours are out of their control? Is this impacting your life, relationships, work, or how you feel about yourself? Or do you feel that your pornography use has become problematic, or your partner's use of pornography has become problematic and this is impacting you?

I am currently adding a specialism of Compulsive Sexual Behaviours therapy to my established Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy Practice for individuals and for partners.  If this is an issue you would like to work on, please get in touch.

If you feel that any of your behaviours are unlawful or could become unlawful please contact a specialised service such as STOPSO.

Fees

  • Online Therapy (50 minutes) - £95
  • In person Therapy (50 minutes) - £110

100 minute sessions can also be arranged, which can be helpful for relationships in crisis or for first sessions. These are double the cost of the 50 minute sessions.

Availability

Online sessions take place weekly on weekdays in the evenings, Thursdays, and weekends. In person sessions take place weekly at the weekends.

If you are interested in working with me, you can find more information regarding fees and working hours listed in the sections below.

Please note: the psychotherapy I offer involves deep work, which requires a weekly commitment. Therefore, to benefit the work we do together, I am not able to offer fortnightly sessions.

Next steps

When you contact me, we will arrange a free initial Zoom call (up to 15 minutes). This allow us a chance to meet, for you to ask any questions you may have about therapy, and to discuss our availability for sessions going forward. I will explain the next steps after that in the call.

I aim to reply to messages within two working days. Please check your junk mail if you don't have a reply to your enquiry in your inbox.

In your enquiry, please let me know:

  • if you have a preference for online or in person therapy
  • if you're happy to do either online or in person
  • your available days and times for sessions

I hope to hear from you soon!

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

COSRT
College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT)

COSRT is the UK’s leading membership organisation for therapists specialising in sexual and relationship issues.

All members must abide by their Code of Ethics and the performance of accredited members is regularly monitored.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
