About me

I am offering sessions online and am accepting new enquiries for in person therapy.

In therapy, I value a safe space, free of judgement and assumptions where you are able to explore your life experiences and reflect upon them in a meaningful way, helping you to move forward where you may feel stuck.

Every person will have different triggers and causes for these emotions and in turn, respond to these emotions in their own way. Whether it be a loss of motivation, frustration, feeling stuck, tearful, avoidance, use of coping behaviours like drinking, or withdrawing from others, every response is normal and valid.

Exploring these feelings and digging deeper to understand your own triggers and how you are reacting to a stressful event or situation is a good starting point to making a change, breaking patterns of behaviour and learning new tools and skills to cope. Together, we can do this in therapy.

Training, qualifications & experience

I believe in people’s ability to reflect upon their lives and experiences that are of meaning to them.

Using an Existential approach, I work to provide a safe, confidential and open space to explore difficulties ranging from anxiety and depression to a sense of identity and search for meaning in life.

I work collaboratively with my client's needs and emphasise the importance of autonomy, working together to find alternative understandings and responses to living a more enjoyable life.

I make use of Existential Psychology, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Psychoanalytic Therapy, which is tailored to individual needs, always bearing in mind the importance of respect and understanding.

I am a qualified counsellor and currently completing a doctorate in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy, with an Existential approach. I have a broad range of experience, working in a therapeutic setting since 2015.

NHS, Talking therapies, Place2Be, The Awareness Centre, Weight Matters group, School student and staff guidance counsellor.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
