About me
Hello, I'm Micky, an integrative psychotherapist offering online therapy for adults across the UK.
Perhaps you've been feeling anxious, overwhelmed or disconnected from yourself. You might find yourself repeating the same patterns in relationships, questioning your self-worth, or struggling to understand why certain situations affect you so deeply. Sometimes there isn't one particular problem, just a sense that something doesn't feel quite right.
Whatever brings you to therapy, you don't need to have everything figured out before we begin.
How I can help
I offer a confidential, non-judgemental space where we can explore your thoughts, feelings, relationships and experiences together.
I work with people experiencing a range of difficulties, including:
- Anxiety, stress and feeling overwhelmed
- Relationship difficulties and recurring patterns
- Low self-esteem, self-criticism and insecurity
- Identity, belonging and life transitions
- Low mood and emotional disconnection
- Grief, loss and difficult past experiences
My approach is integrative, drawing on humanistic, psychodynamic and existential psychotherapy. This means that rather than following a fixed method, I adapt how we work to your individual experiences and needs.
We might explore how earlier relationships have shaped the way you see yourself, consider patterns that continue to emerge in your life, or make space for difficult feelings and questions about identity, meaning and change.
What is therapy with me like?
I believe the relationship between therapist and client is central to meaningful therapeutic work.
I aim to offer a space where you can speak openly, without feeling judged or pressured to present a particular version of yourself. I will listen carefully, ask questions and, where appropriate, invite you to consider things from a different perspective.
Therapy isn't about me telling you how to live your life. It's a collaborative process of developing a deeper understanding of yourself and discovering what feels right for you.
We can work at your pace, focusing on what feels most important while remaining open to what emerges along the way.
Taking the first step
Finding the right therapist is important, and I understand that reaching out can feel daunting. I offer a free 15-minute introductory call where we can briefly discuss what brings you to therapy, how I work and whether we might be a good fit.
There's no obligation to continue.
If something you've read resonates with you, you're very welcome to get in touch.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist with an academic background in psychology, counselling and psychotherapy.
My formal training began in 2017, and I have since completed an extensive programme of undergraduate and postgraduate study at Regent's University London.
Academic Qualifications - Regent's University London
- MA in Psychotherapy and Counselling
- Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling
- BSc (Hons) in Psychology
- Certificate in Psychotherapy and Counselling
- Clinical Experience
As part of my professional training, I worked as a counsellor at the Psychosynthesis Trust in London, providing ongoing therapeutic support to clients.
This experience helped develop my interest in the therapeutic relationship, the influence of early experiences on our present lives, and the ways in which greater self-awareness can support personal change.
My training has provided me with a grounding in several therapeutic traditions, including:
Humanistic psychotherapy: Emphasising empathy, authenticity, personal experience and the importance of the therapeutic relationship.
Psychodynamic psychotherapy: Exploring how unconscious processes, early relationships and recurring emotional patterns can influence our present experiences.
Existential psychotherapy: Considering questions of identity, freedom, responsibility, uncertainty, belonging and meaning.
I integrate these perspectives according to the needs of each individual, rather than applying the same approach to everyone.
Professional Membership and Ethical Practice
I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). BACP Register number: 422410
I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework and undertake ongoing professional supervision to support safe, reflective and ethical clinical practice.
I am committed to continuing professional development and maintaining a thoughtful, responsible approach to psychotherapy.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
