About me
Hi I am Melanie a qualified Integrative Counsellor in North Tyneside, working with young people and adults both online and face to face.
I understand that life is a rollercoaster and at times we face challenges where we require some support. I offer a welcoming, non-judgemental, safe, supportive space where you can explore challenges and discover new perspectives, and build confidence for change. Using a blend of approaches tailored to you, I aim to work with you to tap into your strengths, overcome obstacles and move towards a more balanced, fulfilling life. I understand that taking that first step towards Counselling may feel scary and takes courage which is why I use a person-centred approach which allows clients to move at a pace that is right for them.
I chose to follow the path of becoming a Counsellor because of a combination of life and work experiences. I believe that people should be considered in a holistic way, understanding the whole person and the environment around them and how this may impact upon the person and their wellbeing. I also believe that by encouraging client autonomy, it empowers people and builds self-esteem which enhances mental health and wellbeing. I feel that being a Counsellor is a privilege to be part of someone's journey and witness the growth occur is rewarding
I am currently accepting new clients.
