About me
When emotional distress shows up - through anxiety, stress, low mood or simply feeling overwhelmed - it can be hard to navigate it alone. I offer a safe, steady therapeutic relationship where we can explore your experiences together, understand patterns that keep you stuck, and create space for you to find new ways of being.
My approach is grounded in Transactional Analysis (TA), which is an effective and insightful therapeutic model that helps you understand why you respond in certain ways and how past experiences may still be shaping your present, TA has connections with CBT and psychoanalytical theory. With increased awareness, you can develop new choices, build healthier relationships, and strengthen your sense of self and control in your life.
I work with adults, individuals, and couples who are navigating:
- Relationship difficulties
- Anxiety, overwhelm, or burnout
- Life transitions and identity shifts
- Family pressures and caring roles
- Loss, separation, or major change
- Feelings of being 'stuck' or disconnected
Whether you're seeking support for anxiety, low mood, depression, burnout or relationship difficulties, I offer a warm, compassionate space to help you take the next steps - at a pace that feels right for you.

Further information
Throughout my NHS career, I worked closely with women, families, teams, individuals, and within complex organisations. My final role in the NHS was as Director of Midwifery and Nursing at a major London teaching hospital, I have experienced the pressure of senior leadership and management!
Within my various roles, as I observed how people coped, or didn't cope, I gained insights into moments when their capacity to manage pressure began to falter, how relationships shape us, and how essential it is to feel seen, supported and understood. I bring this depth of experience into my therapeutic work, offering clients a steady, attuned presence and a real understanding of the emotional landscapes they may be navigating.
My personal life has been just as formative. I have lived through the highs and lows of marriage, divorce, parenting, and of being the central anchor for my children, grandchildren, and ageing parents. I know what it is like to hold responsibility, to rebuild after loss, and to keep going when life feels overwhelming. These experiences have shaped my ability to sit with clients in their pain and uncertainty with genuine empathy, honesty and care.
Above all, I firmly believe that all individuals have an innate potential for growth. My role is to create a safe and supportive environment where this potential can be realised, fostering healing and personal development.
