About me

In today’s fast-paced and often disconnected world, maintaining healthy wellbeing and fulfilling relationships can feel deeply overwhelming or difficult. Many find themselves trapped in patterns of conflict, distance, or silence, yearning to reconnect but unsure of how to move forward. Challenges such as communication failures, loss of trust, betrayal, mismatched intimacy needs, parenting difficulties, or the constant pressure of juggling home, work, and personal life can leave even the strongest ones feeling strained, uncertain, discouraged, or isolated.

If this resonates with you, you’re not alone.

Help is available whether you’re single, starting a new relationship, aiming to build a strong foundation, facing ongoing challenges, or dealing with the pain of a breakup or separation. Therapy provides a space to slow down, reflect, and begin to understand what’s really going on beneath the surface.

I offer both individual and couples therapy, recognising that relationship difficulties often lie at the crossroads of our shared experiences and inner worlds.

Sometimes, the difficulties in relationships echo deeper patterns within us, influenced by past experiences, attachment wounds, or long-standing fears of rejection or abandonment. You might be dealing with anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, or unresolved pain from childhood or previous relationships.
In individual therapy, we focus on you, your emotions, needs, and relational patterns, helping you explore your story with compassion and curiosity, understand how it has shaped your ways of connecting with others, and discover new ways of relating that feel safer and more authentic.

Couple therapy provides a supportive space for you to explore what has led you to this point, to understand each other’s needs, heal emotional wounds, improve communication, and repair ruptures. Whether you’re aiming to rebuild trust, deepen emotional intimacy, manage conflict more effectively, or part ways with kindness and respect, therapy can guide you through these transitions with clarity and compassion.
I believe that every relationship holds the potential for growth and healing when both partners feel heard and understood. I also believe that each couple is unique, and so is the path to restoring connection. My approach is collaborative, curious, and non-judgemental, helping you explore individual factors, as well as shared dynamics, reconnect with one another, and rediscover what initially brought you together.

Sessions are available during the day or evening. Individual sessions last 1 hour, and couples sessions can be either 1 hour or 1.5 hours, depending on your needs. We can work together short-term to focus on specific issues or longer-term for deeper healing and growth.

Reaching out can often feel daunting and vulnerable, but it’s also an act of courage and care and a first step towards meaningful change. If you’d like to talk about how I can support you, please get in touch for a free, informal chat. You don’t have to navigate this alone, I’m here to help.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified integrative, relational counsellor with extensive experience working with adults, children, and young people through my roles at a local school trust and various third-sector organisations and charities. Over the past three years, I served as the Counselling and Therapy Lead at Nottinghamshire Mind, overseeing counselling service for adults experiencing a range of mental health and relational difficulties.

My practice is rooted in systemic, relationship and family therapy, and I tailor our work together to your unique needs. I draw from a range of approaches, including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural, solution-focused, transactional analysis, attachment-based and trauma-informed theories, to help you gain insight into your relationships and make lasting changes.

My commitment to relationship work is supported by ongoing professional development. I am currently completing a Certified Complex Trauma Practitioner course.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), a member of the Association for Family Therapy and Systemic Practice (AFT), and a member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT). I hold an enhanced DBS certificate and full professional and public liability insurance.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
