About me
My ideal clients are adults of all ages, children aged 3 and upwards, and young people who feel anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or affected by trauma, sexual abuse, domestic abuse, loss, self-harm, low confidence, attachment difficulties, C-PTSD, dissociation, with a background of working with neurodiversity. They may come to my practice after feeling unsafe, silenced, misunderstood or unable to cope alone, wanting a calm space to be heard, make sense of their experiences, manage difficult emotions, rebuild confidence, and begin moving forward at their own pace.
I help clients feel safer, understood, and more able to cope. My specialities include trauma, sexual abuse, domestic abuse, self-harm, anxiety, attachment, C-PTSD, dissociation, neurodiversity, grief, and support for children and young people. I also have 11 years of experience working with veterans and their families.
I am a warm and open counsellor who puts my clients' needs at the forefront of our sessions. I believe we all have the capacity to heal, explore and move forward with help and support of someone with empathy and understanding, who can offer a safe space either in person or online. I can also work in the evenings and weekends if required.
Training, qualifications & experience
Taking the first step towards counselling can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face life’s challenges alone. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, low mood, or simply feeling stuck, I offer a safe, supportive, and confidential space where you can be yourself without fear of judgement.
I am a trauma-informed, integrative counsellor and qualified clinical supervisor who is passionate about helping people reconnect with themselves and find a way forward. I believe that every person is unique, which is why I don’t believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach to therapy. Instead, I tailor our work together around your individual needs, strengths, personality, and goals, using a range of therapeutic approaches to ensure you receive the support that feels right for you.
Alongside my professional training, I bring valuable lived life experience to my practice. Like many of the people I work with, I understand that life can be challenging, unpredictable, and at times deeply painful. These experiences have strengthened my empathy, compassion, and understanding, allowing me to sit alongside clients with authenticity, warmth, and without judgement. I believe healing happens when we feel truly seen, heard, and accepted, and I strive to offer that in every therapeutic relationship.
Clients often describe me as approachable, genuine, and down to earth. Building a trusting relationship is at the heart of my work, and I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable enough to explore difficult thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to walk alongside you, helping you discover your own strengths, resilience, and capacity for change.
My qualifications include a Level 4 Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling, CPCAB Level 5 in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), a Level 7 Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People (working with children aged 3 years and above), and a CPCAB Level 6 qualification in Clinical Supervision. I am also a qualified Rewind Therapist, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) Practitioner, and Eco Therapy practitioner.
I offer a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Rewind Therapy for trauma and PTSD, Walk and Talk Therapy, Eco Therapy, EFT, Clinical Supervision, and therapeutic play-based interventions for children. I have extensive experience supporting children, young people, and adults, including those who have experienced complex childhood trauma.
As an integrative therapist, I draw upon a range of evidence-based approaches including Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment-Based Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Psychodynamic Therapy, Relational Therapy, Family Systems, Positive Psychology, Play Therapy, Sandplay, and Trauma-Focused Therapy. This flexibility allows me to adapt our sessions to what you need, rather than expecting you to fit into one particular model of therapy.
I have experience supporting clients with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, childhood trauma, sexual abuse, domestic abuse, relationship and family difficulties, bereavement, addiction, alcohol misuse, ADHD, autism, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder (BPD), dissociative disorders (DID), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), eating disorders, anger management, low self-esteem, suicidal thoughts, mood disorders, and other mental health challenges. I also have experience working with members of the Armed Forces community.
Whether you are looking for support with something that has recently happened or difficulties that have been with you for many years, I believe change is possible. Therapy is not about fixing you—because you are not broken. It is about understanding yourself, making sense of your experiences, recognising your strengths, and finding healthier ways to move forward.
Whatever has brought you here today, you don’t have to carry it alone. When you feel ready, I will be here to walk alongside you with compassion, honesty, and respect.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
