About me
Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or like life's challenges are weighing you down more than they should? Whether it's anxiety keeping you awake at night, low mood draining your energy, relationship difficulties creating distance, or past experiences affecting your present, it's completely understandable to feel this way and you don't have to navigate it alone.
As a pluralistic counsellor, I believe that every person is unique, and what helps one individual may not suit another. There's no 'one-size-fits-all' approach in therapy, so I work collaboratively with you to understand your goals, preferences, and what feels most helpful right now. Together, we explore what you want from our sessions and adapt our way of working accordingly - drawing flexibly from a range of ideas and techniques (such as person-centred listening, cognitive-behavioural tools, mindfulness practice, or deeper exploratory work) to create something truly tailored to you.
My style is warm, non-judgmental and empowering. I see you as the expert in your own life, and I bring curiosity, openness, and a commitment to shared decision making. Many clients find this collaborative process helps them feel truly heard, gain fresh perspectives, build practical strategies, heal old wounds and move towards greater clarity, resilience, and well-being.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have 8 years experience as a counsellor and 20 years as a support worker working with adults facing a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, bereavement, trauma, identity concerns and relational difficulties. I am a fully qualified pluralistic counsellor, BACP registered, fully insured and PVG checked.
Sessions are available online, by phone, or video with flexible timings to suit your schedule.
If this resonates with you, I'd love to hear from you. Feel free to message me with any questions or to arrange a no-obligation initial chat - we can explore together whether this could be a good fit. You are taking an important step, and I'm here to support you on the journey.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
