About me
I offer you a place of understanding, empathy and insight within a peaceful space.
How I can help you.
Are you ready to make sense of your feelings, thoughts and behaviours? Are you tired of trying to manage anxiety, feelings of low self worth or perhaps family issues? Is work or relationship problems worrying you? Are there hurts from your past that seem to resurface and stifle living life fully?
I am experienced in working with depression, anxiety, bereavement, grief and loss, relationship struggles, trauma, loss of purpose and issues of life-stage, parenting or infertility. Together, we will help you understand yourself better and see the changes you'd like in your life.
My practice is in a quiet village close to Bicester with easy, free parking. I'm also based in Eynsham just north of Oxford. I offer online sessions, too. A helpful next step is to arrange a free, 15 minute intro call with me. If you've got questions - email me and I'll do my best to support you or point you in the right direction.
About me and the way I work.
You and the challenges you face are unique. As an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor, I work alongside you to create a bespoke personal therapy which addresses your needs and hopes. I draw on different psychotherapeutic research and my training to help you process emotions and gain self-awareness. We will help you uncover how you relate to yourself, how you relate to your past and how you form relationships and connect to those around you.
This may involve: Internal Family Systems (IFS), Timelines, Attachment wounds, Younger Self dialogue, Grief and bereavement support, Body Awareness and Breathwork to calm and reduce anxiety, Creative play, Visualisation, Dreamwork and Storytelling.
Now in my 50s, I bring wisdom and life experience to my practice alongside skills and knowledge from my training and years of working as a psychotherapeutic counseller. From my experience of having counselling at different stages of my life - being ‘the client’ - I discovered that psychotherapy can be a profound and deeply transformative process. It brought meaning, self-wisdom and vitality into my life. The relationship between client and therapist is one of the most powerful and effective ways to experience emotional healing, psychological wellbeing and personal growth. So it matters that you choose the therapist who 'fits' you.
After an undergraduate degree in Psychology and English, I developed a career in book publishing - commissioning authors and managing international educational publishing programmes. I’ve lived and worked in various countries either in education or the publishing sector. The creativity of story and illustration from my publishing work influences my therapy practice – offering clients creative ways to explore their own stories.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions (ACC) is a Christian professional membership organisation for those involved in counselling/psychotherapy and linked professions, i.e. pastoral care, coaching and spiritual direction, in the UK. The organisation is made up of various different membership categories, including Counsellor and Accredited, and requires all members working as counsellors to undertake Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis.
