About me
I'm an accredited Psychotherapist and Relationship Counsellor practising in Chiswick, London W4. I'm clinically trained and qualified with experience both in private practice and the charity sector. I continue post-graduate training in relationship counselling with one of the world's leading clinical research and practice establishments based in London.
I specialise in:
- Anxiety and depression
- Bereavement and loss
- Relationship and sexual difficulties
- Work relationship and work/life balance challenges
- Veterans
- Military couples
- Coaching for people in leadership roles
- Family trauma and dysfunction
- Burnout, stress and emotional exhaustion
- Boarding school syndrome
I began my working life in the Armed Forces and have since worked in industry across the public, private and charity sectors. The lived experience of this gave me a particular interest in how we relate - in love, work, friendships, families and communities.
I'm psychodynamically trained and practice integratively (meaning I focus on building understanding from your lived experiences and how they manifest in your life today).
There are reasons why you experience stress or distress as individuals or couples. My approach blends compassion with curiosity, insight with directness, and understanding with patience, to illuminate causes and help you find ways forward. Sessions offer a place to think and speak freely about thoughts or feelings that may feel painful or difficult to articulate elsewhere in your life.
I work in Chiswick and online, and adapt my approach to meet your needs. I offer both open-ended and time-limited work. Sessions are held at my practice, The London Therapists in Chiswick (W4), The Greenhouse Rooms in Chiswick or online.
I offer all clients an initial phone or video consultation at no charge.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained at Tavistock & Portman NHS Mental Health Trust and hold the London Certificate of Psychosexual & Relationship Counselling.
Over the years, I have seen clients at Bereft Bereavement charity, in my Private Practice and with the relationship counselling charity I continue post graduate training with.
I am accredited by the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and am in my final year of postgraduate training in couple psychodynamic psychotherapy.
