About me
As a uniquely warm and compassionate therapist, I believe that a strong, supportive relationship is the foundation upon which all effective therapy is built. The client is at the heart of my practice, and I am dedicated to providing a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings.
With experience in a variety of issues, including relationship break-ups, narcissistic abuse, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, addiction, and bereavement, I am here to help you navigate through your challenges.
At Somali Farm in Birchington, I offer a welcoming environment where you can freely discuss whatever is on your mind. We can delve into your past experiences and childhood to uncover patterns that may be affecting your present life. By understanding these patterns, we can work together to foster positive change. I place a strong emphasis on emotions and feelings, and I can also support you in setting and achieving your personal goals, incorporating a life-coaching approach to guide you towards a more fulfilling life.
Your journey towards healing and self-discovery is important to me. Let’s work together to create the life you envision.
Training, qualifications & experience
As a qualified integrative therapist, I bring a diverse approach to my practice, tailoring my methods to meet the unique needs of each client. Drawing from various therapeutic modalities, I ensure that the most effective strategies are utilised to address the specific issues presented.
My registration with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) underscores my commitment to adhering to the highest professional standards. This affiliation not only validates my qualifications but also ensures my dedication to ongoing professional development and ethical practice.
I am adept at blending different therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and person-centered therapy. This integrative methodology allows me to offer a more personalized and flexible therapeutic experience, promoting holistic well-being and personal growth.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information
In addition to traditional therapy sessions, I offer “walk and talk” therapy, which I find to be highly effective. This approach combines the therapeutic benefits of physical activity with the calming influence of nature, creating a relaxed environment that often eases the pressure and formality associated with traditional therapy. Walking side by side can facilitate more open and spontaneous conversations, helping clients feel more comfortable and connected as they work through their issues.
