Hello my name is Linda, one of the key things with regard to counselling and psychotherapy is finding a therapist you like and trust that is willing to work openly with you so you can feel free to explore new ways of being.
I lead an organisation that offers a professional, confidential and sensitive service whether you’re looking for individual or couples’ counselling, group therapy, psycho-educational classes, divorce support or mediation. So, if you feel that you need someone to talk to about any personal issue or social problem come along and meet me for an initial assessment, this will give us the opportunity to decide whether we want to start working together.
Why choose us?
I am experienced, well qualified and registered and I run a lovely team of Counsellors.
As a therapist I believe relationship is key to effective work because this allows respect and mutuality to build. I believe everyone as the right to expect clear, open dialogue.
Our service offers impartial and independent facilitation so if you are feeling anxious, confused or in an unhappy place which seems never ending, lonely and difficult to manage call for support. Self doubt, miserableness, questioning and a sense of going around in circles all lead to unnecessary anxiety and depression so please come and discover what unconscious processes are upsetting and causing the issues you are experiencing and enable yourself to become more aware and get your life back on track.
My company is run on a Community Interest basis; it is called Affordable Therapy Concepts (ATC), so by attending therapy with us you are able to put something back into local society. Fully qualified, accredited staff as well as trainees work alongside me to provide our services, some of which volunteer their time and skills for free. This allows ATC to offer affordable rates for everyone; as well as re-invest any profits back into the system so we are able to offer a limited number of people reduced rates according to means.
What type of therapy we use:
I am a Certified Transactional Analyst, so I use psychotherapy to help others understand and become more aware of their own developmental stages, modes of communication and life patterns which in turn helps you to relate to present day issues and make appropriate change.
Other Counsellors in the organisation use different modalities; for further information take a look at our website www.affordabletherapyconcepts.co.uk
Training, qualifications & experience
Training and Experience:
I am a qualified Psychotherapist, Counsellor, Mediator, Trainer and Clinical Supervisor.
I have been working with clients since 2005 and have a wide level of experience in a range of services. I am an active participant in Continuing Professional Development.
I work in private practice and run Affordable Therapy Concepts (ATC) a Community Interest Company which means any profits made are reinvested back in to the community and service (see further information for more detail). My clients come through a wide range of referral organisations as well as self-referral.
Whilst I was building my private practice, I provided mediation services for Lincolnshire Counselling and Mediation Service this meant I worked on contracts with Lincolnshire Police, Children and Adult Social Services, County and District Councils, Housing Associations and local employers.
