Hello my name is Linda
Why choose me?
I am an experienced, well qualified and registered psychotherapist.
As a therapist I believe relationship is key because this allows respect and mutuality to build which opens up safe space in which to work effectively.
I offer an impartial, independent environment which can be used if friends, family or colleagues are unable to provide the support you desire and require.
If you are feeling anxious, confused or in an unhappy place which seems never ending, lonely and difficult to manage or self doubt, miserableness, questioning and a sense of going around in circles are occurring come along and meet me for an initial assessment.
This will give us the opportunity to decide whether we want to start working together to explore unconscious processes that are upsetting you and creating unnecessary issues with regards to moving forward to get your life back on track.
One of the key things with regard to counselling and psychotherapy is finding the right therapist for you, one you like and trust that is willing to work openly with you so you can feel free to explore new ways of being. Please feel free to come along and meet me.
What type of therapy I use:
I am a Certified Transactional Analyst, I use psychotherapy to help others understand and become more aware of their developmental stages, modes of communication and life patterns which in turn helps them to relate to present day issues and make appropriate change.
Training, qualifications & experience
Training and Experience:
I am a qualified Psychotherapist, Counsellor, Mediator, Trainer and Clinical Supervisor.
I have been working with clients since 2005 and have a wide level of experience in a range of services. I am an active participant in Continuing Professional Development.
I work in private practice as well as running Affordable Therapy Concepts Limited (ATC) a company which supports practitioners to build and develop their practices. It as a community interest ethos which means everyone involved is seeking ways of opening up opportunities to provide therapy differently and in settings which are affordable and accessible to everyone. Most of our Practitioners also offer a limited number of concessions. See http://www.affordabletherapyconcepts.co.uk for further details.
My private practice clients come through a wide range of referral organisations as well as self-referral. Whilst I was building my private practice I needed to find different ways in which to support myself so I provided mediation services for Lincolnshire Counselling and Mediation Service this meant I worked on contracts with Lincolnshire Police, Children and Adult Social Services, County and District Councils, Housing Associations and local employers. Additionally, I worked as a Counselling Lecturer at Lincoln College and as a Mentor with ClearLinks for University students who experience mental health issues.
I am now in a position to focus on clinical work, clinical supervision and training through private practice.
