About me
I am a qualified and insured BACP registered Integrative Transpersonal Counsellor based in central Bristol.
My aim is to offer a safe space for you to bring yourself, as you are.
We can work together to explore where your past and present intertwine.
I bring my own curiosity and compassion into the space and hope to help foster a healing curiosity for yourself.
In addition to English, I also offer counselling in French and in Italian.
Training, qualifications & experience
My core training is in Integrative Transpersonal Counselling
Integrative
Integrative means I have trained in more than one style of counselling - Psychodynamic, Humanistic, Jungian, Creative - and can choose to lean into whichever style best suits you at the time.
Transpersonal
Transpersonal means I am open to the more-than-individual dimension - something soulful - whatever that may mean for you. I believe this can look very different for different people; for example, you may be curious about science or feel a connection to nature.
I have worked for four years with Womankind, an established mental health charity also delivering psychodynamic counselling services. Psychodynamic therapy explores how current difficulties you are having may be rooted in past experiences.
At times, for some of us, words are not enough, and I find that dreams, imagination and creativity (such as metaphor, drawing, music or writing) can bring a rich perspective to the work.
Qualifications
MBACP Diploma in Integrative Transpersonal Counselling (BACP and UKCP accredited course, Re-Vision)
PhD in Neuroscience (University College London)

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

We would start by arranging an initial session to meet and gauge if we may be the right fit. If you feel you would like to continue working together, we would then meet weekly, at the same place and time each week.
There is no set amount of sessions. I work in an open-ended way and it will be up to you ultimately how many sessions you feel you need. You can stop at anytime, but I do ask for us to have an ending session to bring the work to a close.
