About me

Hello, I’m Lauren, I provide counselling in Bagshot near Camberley. Are you finding life difficult at the moment? Feeling anxious, stressed or low? Maybe you think you are drinking a bit more than you'd like to, or taking drugs to help with your emotions? Or maybe you have found that your relationship is being affected? Counselling might be a good place for you to explore some of those thoughts and feelings.

How would it feel to get to know yourself a little more and become more comfortable in your own skin? Imagine if you understood yourself and your emotions better. How would your life look if you challenged your limiting beliefs so you can live a more fulfilled life?

My approach to counselling is based around my client’s needs. I provide a warm and non-judgemental environment where you can explore what is happening in your life. You will always be met with a smile and understanding. I believe that self-acceptance brings profound benefits; if we can accept ourselves fully, warts and all then we will feel more comfortable with how we fit in the world. I am a very down-to-earth warm person who has worked with many people from all walks of life, I am committed to providing a safe space for my clients to express themselves fully.

I work with adults over the age of 18.

Please send me an email if you're interested in counselling and we can arrange an initial chat over video call. Please note that my email responses can sometimes land in junk mail/spam. I usually reply within 24 hours on Monday-Friday. Please keep an eye out on your junk mail if you have not had a response.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
