About me
About me and my therapy practice
Hi there - thank you for stopping by. My name is Lauren and I am a BACP registered and qualified Integrative Therapist.
Integrative therapy is a combined approach to psychotherapy that brings together different elements of specific therapies. I like to draw on several different elements in order to tailor sessions to you, the individual client. My approach takes into account your mental, physical, spiritual and emotional needs and we will work with all of these elements to help set and achieve your goals.
I like to work with attachment styles - I believe that our earliest relationships can affect how we relate to those around us as adults and as such this can be useful exploration in therapy, in order to change these patterns.
I also enjoy working creatively to explore different feelings if its useful for my clients. I have adapted this way of working so that this is still possible via video counselling.
I also use practical tools such as individual guided meditations and relaxation exercises to help calm any anxieties if needed during our sessions.
I am more than happy to discuss my ways of working in more detail on the phone or via email ahead of any sessions.
Practice description
I provide a safe, calming and non-judgemental space for my clients to explore any issues.
My first session
All sessions are 50 minutes long. Our first session would be a chat about what has brought you to therapy and how we might work together in the future to achieve your goals - we can then discuss moving forward together if you feel that we are a good fit.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
