About me

Hello. I offer Counselling and Hypnotherapy, either combined or on their own. I work in person in Cardiff and I also offer Online appointments.

When you make contact, I will offer you a free short consultation by phone and if we decide to proceed, I will email you some information ready for your first session.

I am friendly and non-judgemental and if you are thinking of therapy, please get in touch and let's talk.

I work with individuals and couples. I work with adults and young people (children 10+).

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified Counsellor and Hypnotherapist. I find that these two therapies compliment each other, but can also be practiced on their own. I am a member of BACP.

My background is supporting people, often with complex issues and trauma. I have worked in various organisations, both in the charity sector and statutory.

I offer in-person appointments in the Canton area of Cardiff,  and I also offer Online or telephone appointments.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

Everyone is unique and I tailor my work to suit the individual.

We often go through life carrying the weight of stress and anxiety, or trauma from many years of abuse, which can build up over time. I can help you relax and let go of that stress through relaxation and Hypnotherapy and teach you the tools to practice on your own, to help you relax and let go of stress, unwanted invasive thoughts and replace them with healthier thoughts and beliefs. Which in turn can help you build you confidence and self-esteem. Anxiety and stress are often inter-linked and it's hard to break the cycle, which is where I can help. The mind is a powerful tool and as much as it helps guide us, it can also have a negative influence on our thoughts and feelings. This is where a professional independent practitioner can help you deal with the negative and help you feel better about your life and choices.

I encourage feedback and we review progress as we go along.
