About me
Are you feeling lost? Stuck? Not sure where to turn?
Do you feel that you have nobody to talk to, or at least, nobody that would understand?
Are you experiencing negative thoughts, repeating the same patterns in relationships or life, or just generally feeling that you've lost your way?
You might feel exhausted from trying to hold everything together without anyone noticing, or perhaps you feel that you need someone impartial, non-judgmental and caring to provide a listening ear.
I've been a practising Psychotherapeutic Counsellor since 2017. I work as an integrative therapist, meaning I do not believe in a 'one size fits all' approach; instead, I draw on different methods and styles depending on your needs.
I work deeply with my clients to discover the origins of the difficulties that might be affecting your life, and what or who might be maintaining them.
I allow you the space to explore and express your thoughts, feelings and behaviour patterns in more depth, examining whether there is anything that, together, we can work towards changing.
Alongside my qualifications in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, I hold a BSc (Hons) in Applied Psychology, which allows me to gain a deeper background understanding of human thinking and behaviours.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
My primary training was in Transactional Analysis (T.A.), a psychotherapeutic theory that focuses on awareness and interactions with others. However, I work as an ‘integrative’ therapist, meaning I draw upon various other methods and theories depending on what is right for you and your needs.
I particularly enjoy using creative methods in therapy, as a way to 'bring the therapy to life' in a way that words often can't.
In recent years, a lot of my work has focused on enabling individuals to navigate the brave and difficult journey of healing from trauma. I hold deep respect for clients who embark on this journey, and I believe that my job as the therapist is to allow you the safety net to do this in a way that feels supported. This is often long-term work, and therefore the relationship with your therapist is key. Together, we can begin to make sense of what happened and reconnect with your sense of self.
