About me

Hi there, my name is Kathryn - welcome to my profile.

I am an inclusive integrative therapist (and supervisor) specialising in supporting children and adults online - especially those with additional needs, offering a neuro-affirming and inclusive space which celebrates difference, welcomes exploration and questioning.

Whether you are facing life challenges, common mental health conditions (such as anxiety or depression), past trauma including PTSD, work difficulties, or maybe you are considering your own neurodivergence (for example: ADHD or Autism) - I can offer a non-judgemental person-centred space where these areas can be explored safely through connection, care, and when appropriate, humour.

We can talk, visualise, use music, and be more creative if this helps you feel more comfortable - the therapy space is for you, and needs to meet your needs - everything is tailored to your personal progress as you are the most important person in the room. I welcome the whole of you.

Something I do offer is lived experience of neurodiversity, which I am willing to share if this would be of benefit to your development - it is an offer.

Entering a collaborative therapeutic journey, we would be working together, connecting you to an environment where you can feel safe to express how you are feeling in a non-judgemental space.

Life can be pretty hard, and facing challenges on your own at times may seem impossible, which is where I come in, as we will face them together - as a team.

The first step in seeking support is always the hardest part, and this is why I offer a 30-minute free consultation - no pressure - just an exploration to see if we can work together - and more importantly, if you like my approach.

Here, if you have any additional needs, we can discuss how these can be supported in the session so that you feel at ease, accepted, and cared for.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
