Supervision details

My supervision space is built on the belief that you should be able to arrive as your whole self - not just the “professional you,” but the human behind the work too - I want to get to know all of you.

Alongside exploring client work, I welcome your reflections, uncertainties, identity, lived experiences and the parts that may feel less confident or more vulnerable.

Supervision with me is a space to pause, think, feel and grow - we are a team!

My approach is relational, trauma-informed and neuroaffirming, with a strong focus on inclusion and emotional safety. I work creatively and integratively, supporting supervisees to develop both their clinical practice and their sense of professional identity.

I work with therapists supporting adults as well as children and young people, including those working with:

Neurodivergence (autism, ADHD and AuDHD)

Trauma and attachment

Anxiety, identity and relational difficulties

Complex emotional and social needs

In supervision, I draw on Shohet’s 8-Eyed Model, which allows us to gently explore different layers of the work - from the client relationship to your internal responses, to the wider systems and dynamics at play. This helps us build a fuller, more compassionate understanding of what is happening both in the room and around it.

My style offers a balance of support and gentle, thoughtful challenge. I will sit alongside you, helping you to reflect deeply, while also encouraging curiosity, ethical awareness and confidence in your decision-making. I am particularly mindful of the wider contexts you may be working within - including organisational pressures, systemic challenges and the emotional weight of the work.

Alongside private practice, my background includes working within schools, alternative provision and local authority services, which gives me a strong understanding of the real-world complexities many therapists hold. I have previously worked with Place2be, Young Concern Trust and a Local Authority counselling team - supporting staff, parents and children.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
