About me

I'm an integrative psychotherapist offering confidential therapy for individuals and couples in Liverpool and online across the UK and internationally.

People often come to therapy when something no longer feels sustainable in the way it once did. You may appear capable on the outside whilst privately experiencing anxiety, emotional exhaustion, grief, relationship difficulties, burnout, or feeling disconnected from yourself, the people around you, or the direction your life is taking.

I believe lasting change comes through understanding both what is happening in your life now and the experiences that have shaped you. Therapy isn't about simply managing symptoms or endlessly analysing the past. Together we'll explore patterns, relationships, emotions and beliefs, making sense of where they've come from whilst developing practical ways of moving forward.

My work is informed by Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), alongside trauma-informed practice, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness and positive psychology where these approaches feel helpful. This allows therapy to be tailored to you, offering both space for deeper understanding and practical support for whatever you're facing in the present.

I support people through a wide range of experiences and life stages. Areas I commonly work with include anxiety, grief and bereavement, burnout, trauma, relationship difficulties, self-worth, identity, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, and periods of feeling stuck or uncertain.

Many of my clients are professionals, creatives, leaders and people in public-facing roles who spend much of their lives carrying responsibility for others whilst quietly managing their own pressures. Therapy offers a confidential space to step away from expectations, slow things down, gain perspective and reconnect with yourself. That said, therapy is open to anyone looking for support and a place to better understand themselves and move forward.

Alongside individual therapy, I also work with couples experiencing communication difficulties, recurring conflict, emotional distance, changes in intimacy, life transitions, or wanting to understand the patterns that keep them feeling stuck with one another. Sessions provide a balanced, supportive and non-judgemental space to strengthen understanding, improve communication and explore new ways of relating together.

I also have a particular interest in supporting women through reproductive and life-stage experiences, including infertility, pregnancy and baby loss, perinatal anxiety, and menopause-related emotional change. These experiences can profoundly affect identity, confidence, relationships and emotional wellbeing, and therapy offers space to process them sensitively and at your own pace.

My style is warm, grounded and quietly direct. I don't believe therapy should feel like being analysed or told how to live your life. My role is to offer a relationship where you can think differently, feel understood, challenge long-standing patterns and gradually build a life that feels more like your own. Sessions are collaborative, thoughtful and gently challenging where needed, creating meaningful change that feels sustainable rather than overwhelming.

Alongside private practice, I design and deliver workplace wellbeing and bereavement training for organisations across the UK and serve as a Trustee for Liverpool Bereavement Service, helping improve access to bereavement support within the community.

Whether you're looking for support with something immediate or wanting to understand longer-standing patterns, I offer both short- and long-term therapy online and in person from Liverpool city centre.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am an Accredited Member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). My practice is supported by ongoing clinical supervision, continuing professional development, and a commitment to safe, ethical and evidence-informed practice.

My approach is integrative, drawing primarily on Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I also incorporate trauma-informed practice, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness and other evidence-informed approaches where they best support the individual or couple in front of me.

Alongside private practice, I design and deliver workplace wellbeing, mental health and bereavement training for organisations across the UK and serve as a Trustee for Liverpool Bereavement Service, helping improve access to bereavement support within the community.

Before retraining as a psychotherapist, I spent over twenty years working within the corporate, fashion and creative industries. Experiencing the pace, visibility and responsibility of those environments has given me a genuine understanding of the pressures many professionals, leaders, creatives and public-facing individuals experience. This perspective continues to inform my work with clients navigating burnout, identity, relationships, grief, career change and the emotional impact of demanding roles.

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

Beginning therapy can feel like a significant step, particularly if you've spent a long time managing things on your own. Whether you're experiencing anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties, burnout, or simply feel that something no longer feels sustainable, therapy offers a confidential space to pause, reflect and better understand what's happening.

Our work together is collaborative and tailored to your individual needs. We'll explore what's bringing you to therapy at a pace that feels right for you, making sense of thoughts, emotions, relationships and patterns that may no longer be serving you. Alongside developing insight, we may also use practical strategies where appropriate to support meaningful and lasting change.

Confidentiality, professionalism and creating a space where you can speak openly without judgement are at the heart of my practice.

I work with both individuals and couples.

  • Individual Therapy (60 minutes): £75
  • Couples Therapy (60 minutes): £110
