About me

About Kate,

Bereavement and loss

I offer a warm and friendly space to explore every client's individual journey with bereavement & loss.

My aim is to provide the best support to each client. Grief affects us emotionally, physically and mentally on a day-to-day basis. Our own different experiences to losing someone can impact our loss, from a parent, grandparent, friend or a child. Some of these feelings grief can bring are, shock, confusion, anger and regret.

Another form of grief is anticipatory/pre-grief. This is when someone has a thermal illness, or a ongoing health issue that affects our relationship shifting us to worrying about their illness before that person dies, which can bring up the loss beforehand. We can gain a way forward at your own pace, working together, applying tools to manage one step at a time.

Further information

I also work as a general therapist offering a wide range of support with clients challenges. These include depression, anxiety, relationship issues, families and children. Whilst listening in a safe place we can work through specialised areas with addiction, ranging from substance issues, eating disorders, gambling and codependency work.  I have an in-depth knowledge with neurodivergence. I often find when  gaining an understanding how different brains engage and by learning  individual strategies to better day to day living can make a difference.

I also work with families supporting to overcome emotional issues and behaviour patterns to create more of a deeper understanding with each other and the dynamic. I can work with all the family as a group or individually.

My practice premises is set in a country setting providing a quiet and tranquil atmosphere with off road parking which is easy to find.

I find this line of work a real passion and regularly attend supervision to improve and better my practice.  I am constantly attending further learning as this area of work I enjoy and find important which  expands to a deeper understanding and knowledge  with clients.
