About me

People seek therapy for many reasons. Some are facing old wounds and trauma, anxiety, loneliness, loss or major life transitions. Some people feel like life is crashing in on them, and they struggle to breathe. Therapy can feel like the first deep breath in a long time.

Whatever brings you here today, I'd love to hear from you and see how I can support you.

I am a grounded, calm and down-to-earth therapist. My approach is humanistic (integration of Person-Centred, Gestalt, and Transactional Analysis) and relational. By building a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship, we can explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviours in a way that supports deeper understanding and meaningful change. I work in an open, non-defensive and collaborative way, inviting regular check-ins and feedback to ensure therapy feels right for you.

 The work might involve:

  • Exploring how your past experiences influence your life
  • Noticing how your mind and body interact
  • Using creative or experiential exercises to look at a problem from a new angle
  • Gently challenging patterns or perspectives when it feels safe and appropriate to do so
  • Offering insights, reflections, or practical things to try out between the sessions

Working from a trauma-informed perspective, I move at a pace that feels right for you, ensuring you always have a choice in how we explore your story.

There is no right or wrong way to be in our sessions - you can bring anything to the space, from your deepest concerns to the smallest daily issues.

You are welcome to get in touch so we can explore what brings you to therapy and how we might work together.

Training, qualifications & experience

I initially trained in Therapeutic Skills and Studies at The Metanoia Institute (London, UK), before completing a BSc (Hons) in Humanistic Counselling and a Clinical Diploma at The Metanoia Institute (London, UK) validated by Middlesex University. I have four years of university-level training.

My core training is in the Humanistic approach, which allows me to integrate Person-Centred, Gestalt, and Transactional Analysis (TA). I also incorporate elements of CBT where appropriate. With a background in psychology, I use this knowledge to provide support in a safe, research-informed way.

I have also completed additional specialised training, including:

  • Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy and Coaching, Operation Centaur, London.
  • Certificate in Working with Refugee People and Their Families, The Tavistock and Portman, London

Experience and Areas of Focus

I have gained experience working within the NHS and various charities.

I work with a wide range of issues, including:

  • Anxiety and Panic Attacks
  • Depression
  • Trauma
  • Shame
  • Loss (including pregnancy and child loss)
  • Low self-esteem and self-worth
  • Low self-confidence
  • Personal development
  • Relationship and communication difficulties
  • Parenting issues
  • Life transitions and more...

I welcome you to bring whatever is on your mind, whether it is a specific crisis or a day-to-day struggle you would like to explore together.

Professional Standards

I am a member of the Metanoia Institute and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and I am currently working towards my BACP accreditation. I follow the BACP Ethical Framework, which means I am committed to working with professionalism, integrity, and care. This includes respecting your confidentiality, maintaining healthy boundaries, and always placing your wellbeing at the centre of our work.

I am fully insured, receive regular professional supervision, and undertake ongoing CPD to continue developing my skills.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
