About me
Hello
I am a an Accredited Psychotherapist specialising in trauma, I have experience of working privately and in the charity sector, as well as within IAPT for the NHS. I work integratively, drawing on Somatic Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, EMDR, ACT, EFT, CBT, and humanistic approaches. Alongside my private work, I currently hold a post within a Trauma service in Sheffield.
*Currently I have limited availability due to a full case load
Are you or do you know someone who is struggling with anxiety, work stress, low mood, low self-esteem or worry about the future?
Does a previous/recent traumatic experience still negatively impact you?
Do you worry about other’s criticisms and judgments?
Do you feel disconnected from what matters in life and the people you love?
Do you feel that you are not the person you would like to be?
I can work with you to help you understand your emotional and psychological distress. Though you don’t need to be in “distress” to attend therapy, often my clients come to increase their self awareness and gain a different perspective. Whatever challenges you may have, psychotherapy can help improve your life.
I have treated adult individuals for a range of difficulties, including PTSD, CPTSD, anxiety, depression, trauma, phobias, OCD, life crisis, work stress, personal development, performance anxiety and relationship problems. I have spent many years specialising in working with all genders who have a history of historical or recent sexual abuse.
Psychotherapy will help you to learn effective strategies to help you cope better with current difficulties, become more confident, reconnect with what matters and live a more meaningful life.
I offer Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help individuals who have been exposed to traumatic events/suffered trauma. Alongside this I implement many Mindfulness approaches. I offer highly effective treatments designed to help you overcome your distress, and implement lasting changes.
Seeking help and support is a major life step. I commit to providing a safe, professional and personalised treatment plan to sensitively support and empower you, deepen your self-understanding and create positive changes for a life that you can truly value.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
