About me

I am an integrative therapist who is able to offer a range of approaches.  I specialise in Anxiety, Attachment Issues, Bibliotherapy, Body Image, Confidence with Communication, Couples Therapy, Creative Writing for Therapeutic Purpose, Depression, Existential Therapy, Expressive Writing Therapy, Identity Issues, Low Self-esteem, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Resilience Building and Therapeutic Coaching.

I offer face-to-face therapy as I believe it is the most effective way to build a good, solid, therapeutic relationship. The experience of being in a safe therapy space helps to build a stronger, more trusting connection with your therapist, which, in turn, brings the best results.

I have experience of working with clients (and couples) with a range of issues including abuse, addiction, anger management, anxiety, attachment issues, avoidance, bereavement, body confidence/positivity, body dysmorphia, communication concerns, controlling behaviours (self or others), depression, dissatisfaction with life, existential concerns, fertility(IVF), grief and loss, infidelity, lack of motivation, loss of identity, low self-esteem, menopause, miscarriage & stillbirth, OCD, personality disorders, pet loss, PTSD, relationship problems (including friendships, marital and family), resilience building and trust issues.

Some clients may prefer weekly therapy and others feel that fortnightly or four weekly is more suitable.

Fortnightly therapy works really well and is a good option, not just financially, as it gives that little bit more processing time between sessions.

I also offer long-term maintenance sessions which can be 4, 6 or 8 weekly.

Payment must be made in full to book a first session. Any further sessions require payment to be made 48 hours in advance.

I have my own private therapy space in Warrington which enables me to be very flexible with times, days and frequency of sessions, including late evenings.

Miriam, my therapy cat, can be available to help with anxiety and stress-related issues. She is a lovely, gentle British Shorthair indoor cat who loves being stroked, brushed and will sit on your knee if required.
