About me

I am an integrative therapist who is able to offer a range of approaches.  I specialise in Anxiety, Attachment Issues, Bibliotherapy, Body Image, Confidence with Communication, Creative Writing for Therapeutic Purpose, Depression, Existential Therapy, Expressive Writing Therapy, Identity Issues, Low Self-esteem, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Resilience Building and Therapeutic Coaching.

I offer face-to-face therapy as I believe it is the most effective way to build a good, solid, therapeutic relationship. The experience of being in a safe therapy space helps to build a stronger, more trusting connection with your therapist, which, in turn, brings the best results.

I have experience of working with clients (and couples) with a range of issues including abuse, addiction, anger management, anxiety, attachment issues, bereavement, body confidence/positivity, body dysmorphia, communication concerns, controlling behaviours (self or others), depression, dissatisfaction with life, existential concerns, fertility(IVF), grief and loss, infidelity, lack of motivation, loss of identity, low self-esteem, menopause, miscarriage & stillbirth, OCD, personality disorders, pet bereavement, PTSD, relationship problems (including friendships, marital and family), resilience building and trust issues.

A Pluralistic Approach allows me to tailor your therapy to your individuality. No two clients are the same, therefore, no two sessions of therapy will be the same.

We are all individuals and will all need different approaches.

Some clients may prefer weekly therapy and others feel that fortnightly or four weekly is more suitable.

Fortnightly therapy works really well and is a good option, not just financially, as it gives you that little bit more processing time between sessions.

I have several clients who work different shifts each week and the flexibility is there for you to have a different day/time session to fit in with your work pattern each week.

I also offer monthly maintenance sessions and extended monthly maintenance sessions.

Regular 60 minute sessions will not be extended without prior booking and payment.

*Please note if you are a counselling student currently enrolled on a Level 4 Therapeutic Diploma, the extended sessions can be used as a study session to help with any learning outcomes or client work/case studies/exam revision. Proof reading and editing is also available on request.*

I have my own private therapy space in Warrington which enables me to be very flexible with times, days and frequency of sessions.

Please email for more information, whatsapp or check my Facebook page Embrace Counselling & Psychotherapy Julie Pomfret for updates on specific types of therapy offered- link below under SOCIAL.
