About me

What I do

I work with people facing all sorts of challenges. Maybe you're feeling depressed or angry and you don't know why. Maybe anxiety has you going in circles. Or maybe something from your past keeps re-emerging and replaying itself. Whatever it is, together we will figure out what's happening for you, and from there, what you want to do about it.

I am a fully-qualified integrative practitioner. That simply means that I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches and tailor them to you. Whatever path we take together, my goal is to gently help you get to the heart of things in a safe, warm and supportive manner.

Our work might involve exploring your past experiences and relationships and the ways in which they have shaped who you are today. We might look at the different parts of yourself which coexist within you. Or we might explore our own relationship and consider how it reflects your experiences outside our sessions - and what we can learn from that.

Every client teaches me something new. Over recent years, I have worked with people navigating a broad range of issues, including depression, stress, anxiety, trauma, addiction, performance anxiety, domestic violence, and childhood sexual abuse. Whatever brings you to therapy, I will meet you with empathy and respect. That is my commitment to you.

I offer therapy both online and face to face from my consulting rooms in Milton Keynes, Hitchin and Leighton Buzzard.

About Me

Prior to training as a therapist, my background was in the performing arts. Over time, I realised that what really moved me wasn’t just my craft, but a deeper curiosity about others - their stories, emotions and inner worlds. This insight, combined with my own deeply reparative experience of therapy, led me to to pursue a path where I now help others to make sense of their most challenging experiences.

Beginnings

After you make contact, I offer an initial fifteen minute phone call. This is a no-obligation opportunity to ask any questions you might have.

Should you decide to proceed we will then schedule our first full session. Here I will briefly walk you through some practicalities, before allowing you as much time as possible to tell your story, what's brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the experience. At the end we will discuss how you're feeling and whether you would like us to continue.

Every therapist out there is different and it's important to find the 'right fit'. Remember: it's your space, and you deserve to work with somebody with whom you feel you can be honest and safe.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained at The Minster Centre in London, one of Europe's leading integrative counselling and psychotherapy training institutions. I am a fully qualified, registered member of the BACP.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
