About me
Are you in transition? Is there a change you feel you need to make but are struggling with deciding and taking action? Such as finding a more meaningful life, work, relationships. Or is there a change which has come from outside, which you are struggling to adapt to? Such as a new baby, loss of a loved one, illness, getting older, redundancy,
Each life stage throws up different challenges - I am here to help you identify and navigate these transitions.
I offer a warm, non-judgemental, listening presence and invite you to bring whatever is troubling you so that we can look at ways in which you might become better able to contain, work with, understand and ultimately embrace your inner world.
Above all I believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship - in how we 'fit' as two people. So, when you feel ready, get in touch and we can arrange a free 15 minute phone call and/or meet for an initial, exploratory session where you can get a sense of how we might work together.

Professional Registration:

My work is fully insured and underpinned by regular clinical supervision.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

How I Work
As an Integrative Counsellor, I will tailor my approach to your unique needs. This will be informed by my training and experience in Psychodynamic therapy (the impact of early childhood on adult life) and Person Centred Therapy (that we will grow and change, given the right facilitating environment).
What you can expect:
We will have an initial consultation, during which we can talk about what has brought you to therapy, and I can answer any questions you have about how I work. We will explore what you want from therapy and in the process, see how we 'fit'.
If we choose to work together, we will meet for sessions of 50 minutes, at the same time each week. We can agree to a fixed series of sessions, or leave it open.
We will review our work regularly to ensure you are getting what you need.
